Fountainview????

Any word on Fountainview reopening? I really love grabbing breakfast here and watching the fountain while I eat it.

I didn't even know it was closed! I hope its open when we go in sept. I'ts my favorite place to sit and relax and have a cup of java juice(even thow the coffee tastes like a donkeys rear)

It closed when the Character Connection was being upgraded and (as far as I can tell) has not reopened.

When we were there in March we were told that since the Land Pavilion now serves breakfast that they closed fountain view. Which totally irritated us. My husband liked the fact that he could get a real coffee drink there and we too enjoyed sitting outside watching the fountain. It is to cold in the land. By the time you get your food and pay for it, it is cold and not very good.

It was closed 2 weeks ago. I asked a CM and she said it was undergoing renovations. We were very disappointed also.

This topic interests us as well. When my DW and I were there in early May there was no evidence of any remodeling going on. They closed it when the renovations to the Character Connection were being done. They were complete in May, but no sign that Fountaiview is returning.

We will miss having breakfast (breakfast croissant ) or dessert there while watching the fountain and people going by.

Just back and there is still a sign out in front saying breakfast is available at Sunshine food Festival or what ever they named the food court in the Land Pavillion. I was just so frustrated. We really enjoyed the Fountain view.

We are going back the 10th of August for 9 days, so hopefully I'll have more time to ask around. I really don't mind begging for them to open it again.

I will be very disappointed if the Fountainview doesn't reopen. Breakfast there while watching the fountain is a 12 year tradition with our family.

Hi,We are another family that LOVED having BREAKFAST here!! And it ALWAYS had a LINE! I DO NOT like eating at THE LAND either (too dark and crowded) I like to see the SUN shining while I linger over an espresso! Joan

Ditto! What surprises me is that no one seems to know the answer to the question about Fountainview's future. Even on other Disney related boards this seems to be a lingering question. It is as big a mystery as what is being built at the Contemporary Resort.

I'll add another voice of hope to the re-opening of Fountainview!

Its so difficult to watch and listen to the fountain show when breakfasting at The Land.

My family will be so upset if Fountainview is closed during our october stay. We have enjoyed breakfast there on every trip. We are big on tradition so this will be hard to give up. I hope someone knows soon what is happening with it.

I always wanted to try this place, as I heard the coffee and pastries were really good, but I could never find it open. Either it had closed for the day by the time I went by, or the Food and Wine Festival had closed it down for the duration of my trip.

I never saw the place open? Maybe since we are local and go in the afternoon, it was past it's peak business for the day?

I miss the Fountanview. It has been closed for months now. We should all tell Guest Services to bring it back if it stays closed. Enough with your stuff just sitting there closed Disney (Wonders Of Life, River Country, Discovery Island, etc..)
