We are here now and this is our first stay off property ever. We have a 2B 2B superior at the Fountains. The space in this unit is amazing! Over 1200 sq feet! Walk in shower is huge and a whirlpool tub too. Decorated very nice, NOT Disney decorated but the space kind of makes up for it. Anyone else stay here????? We just arrived yesterday so would love to know your thoughts and experiences here at the Fountains

Hi,

I am considering renting at Vistana for the first time this Oct. Who did you rent through.

Are the superior units different from the deluxes.

Hi herc,

I think the OP may be talking about The Fountains, which is a Bluegreen property:

Sheraton Vistana Resort has two sections named Fountains (I and II). This post will give you some good information about renting there (its an AWESOME resort!):

Hope that helps!

And OP.....I am so glad you have found a wonderful offsite resort! We LOVE staying offsite. The space and comfort are amazing, aren't they? :)

Glad to hear we will be checking in this Saturday for a week stay also in a 2bed/2bath superior and it is also my first stay offsite. Not much info on the boards about The Fountains Resort so I am happy to hear that someone is there now and is happy with the acommodations!

Yes we are at the Blue Green Fountains. Being an on site family till now I was not sure how well we would enjoy it. Pleasantly surprised.

OP, glad you are enjoying your stay.

Gina, Gina, thank you for the helpful info and link.

That resort looks awesome! We are heading to Orlando in October for 13 days and will be going to Disney World and for the third time and Universal for the first time. We've stayed at Bonnet Creek twice and loved it there but would like to try something else that's comparable, if not better.
Could you please let me know who and where to book The Fountains from?

Thanks!

Yes, it is through their site just google Blue Green vacation and it should come right up. I think you can call from there or just book right on line. Enjoy your stay!!!!!!

I went to the website and under the terms and conditions it is mandatory for both husband and wife to attend the timeshare presentation which is about two hours in order to get it for the promo rate. Not sure if it's worth it? We've never been to a timeshare presentation and I've heard they're pretty aggresive.
Did you attend? How would you attend with 3 kids in tow? Bring them? Lol! Maybe it's not worth the hassle?

No, we did not book under that, have a relative in the industry who we booked through. However, yes if I was going to the presentation I would bring the kids. I would assume they would expect children to be there. Also, not sure what the promo rate is but I would see how much you would save, divide between the 2 hours and see what those 2 hours will cost vs save. Hope that makes sense.

It's a lovely resort and I would not hesitate to stay there again as long as I can select which building to ensure the more luxurious superior room.

Do not participate in the timeshare presentation with the promo rate. Instead, try to rent off of ebay.

There are many ways to rent a timeshare from an owner or developer. As a PP mentioned, Ebay is an option or you could look at www.redweek.com for rentals from a variety of owners of a variety of resorts including The Fountains or there may be a match in the classifieds section of the Timeshare Users Group website (www.tug2.net). Generally, in the case of ebay, redweek or TUG, you get to avoid any requirement to attend a timeshare presentation (though resort personnel will usually ask you upon arrival to attend one during your stay).

There are many nice timeshare resorts in the greater Disney/Orlando area so you'll potentially have a lot to chose from.

Thanks, everyone! I have decided to stick with Bonnet Creek and/or Caribe Royale for our first week and then Floridays for the second.

It is amazing the space and value you can get off site. And believe me, we used to be on site snobs thinking we wouldn't want to go to disney if we couldn't be on site. The thought makes me cringe now. :p

Glad you are enjoying it! We leave tomorrow!!! :dance3:

And there is a huge clean clean whirlpool tub in our master bath, picked up bath bombs from Basin in DD the other day......heaven!!!
I do miss the the Disney resort theming but love everything else here. :)
To all coming in enjoy your stays!

Looks nice- where can you find out about prices and availability? Location, etc? tx

We were at the Fountains back in 2011 in one of the enormous presidential suites. 3BR/3BA with 2 living rooms and a screened balcony with outdoor kitchen! :cool1:

The resort itself is beautiful. We didn't take advantage of all the amenities because we spent most of our time at the parks, but we did swim in the large outdoor pool. It was zero entry so the little ones could just play in the shallow area.

There is a Benihana hibachi restaurant within walking distance (literally right next door to the building we were in).

It's located on south international drive not far from vineland rd, so it's pretty convenient to both WDW and Universal, and very close to Sea World.

Have a great trip!
