Found out we're expecting, how to celebrate?!

We just found out yesterday that we're expecting

We've been trying for a little while so we are beyond thrilled. This will be our first. We leave for WDW in two weeks and I've done my reading on what rides to skip. But does anyone have any advice on things we can do while there to celebrate or make a special moment? I'm already planning to pick up one of those "Original Mouseketeer" onesies!

Our trip was planned for our first wedding anniversary so we already have some nice dinners planned. Any other tips/suggestions?

This is more for down the road but if you are planning an announcement on Social media you could have the picture taken down there. My idea was to get Mickey ear hats that say mommy, daddy, a two baby ears with the due date then place them somewhere with the castle in the background. But I would have been too far along by the time I was going to Disney to do that so I just had someone pick up the ears for me and I took the pick at home. It turned out great but I sure do wish I could have done it down there.

Definitely browse Pinterest for ideas of announcement pics to do in MK! There are so many cute ideas! We found out we were pregnant a month before our trip so we had time to order an iron on decal from Etsy that said "Future Mousekateer" on it. I think there are some characters that will take fun pictures pointing to your belly and stuff too.

If you are planning on a social media announcements, you might want to wait a couple of months, although no reason not to take the pictures while you are there. Congrats, I was 7 months pregnant on our first anniversary!

We just got home from Disney yesterday. We took a picture in the photo booth privately and posted it to social media to tell everyone we were expecting. I had been posting various pictures of our vacation throughout the week there so we slipped it in and friends and family went wild.

Here's another idea for you! While my husband and I were in Disney for our honeymoon last September I bought a Mickey stuffed animal in the Magic Kingdom so when we do have children, their first stuffed animal can be from the most magical place and a place at means so much to their mom and dad. Got to start our children's Disney obsession as soon as possible! Haha! I think I'm also going to put the Mickey next to our child when we do the months photos for the first year of their life.

We made our announcement in Disneyland last October. We took our first ultrasound pic (8 weeks) and I went to Michaels and bought some mickey-ears hat stickers and placed one on baby's head. We had our other 2 kids holding up the US photo and had the photopass guy take a bunch of photos and chose the best one. They were standing in front of the statue of Walt and Mickey holding hands, and you can see the castle in the background. Then I added the photopass magic to it with the DL boarder. We sent them out as a postcard to our family and friends and just waited for phone calls. It was a really fun way to announce our baby. My family and friends know I'm a Disney addict so it was perfect. Now I'm due to have the baby in 5 1/2 weeks. Crazy.

There's a shop in fantasyland that has great baby items. When we were there last (when I was 8 months pregnant), my son picked out his brother's first toy (baby Mickey). On an earlier trip, we found out we were expecting a few months before and were scheduled to find out the gender the day before we left. We were planning on announcing the gender with a picture of us with Mickey holding a pink or blue balloon. Unfortunately we had a miscarriage and didn't get to do that. But you could do an announcement picture for both genders and just save them until you find out.

Many of the stores have onesies, but I found a great selection at the Winnie The Pooh gift shop at MK.

If you're saying onsite, tell the resort at check in that you're celebrating a pregnancy. When we did this on my "babymoon", they delivered a really sweet stuffed Dumbo to our room

In Disney Springs the World of Disney store has lots of baby items if you are looking for some special souvenirs for baby from his/her 'first' trip
I love the idea of doing a Disney themed announcement, either for the pregnancy itself or for a gender reveal. I think a picture of you two in front of the castle with your husband's hand on your belly would be a wonderful memory too
