Thought I would pass along where I found Brita bottles yesterday. I originally found them at Bed, Bath, Beyond and Linens and Things. But found them yesterday at our local Wal Mart. They were in the hardware department, in the plumbing section , in the aisle with all the other Brita and Pur pitchers and filters. The bottles were marked down to $4.50 and a 2 pack of filters was $3.50.
Hope this helps someone!

I found them tonight at my Wal-Mart (Virginia) in the plumbing section also! :cool1: There were four left; I bought two. I did not find the filters, though. This will be a great thing for us when we visit home (TX) because the water where our in-laws live taste baaaaaaad :sad2:

Do these improve the taste of the water in Orlando? If so, I'm on my way to Wally world! I wonder if Target carries them?

I've been told they do improve the taste of the water, so I bought 2 of them. We'll be using them for the first time this summer. They have been discontinued by Brita, so they are becoming increasingly hard to find. Try Walmart, in the plumbing section or Ebay. I've seen lots on ebay lately and stock up on filters if you can find them. Before you know it, they'll be gone too.

I see there are many other people who don't want to spend all their cash on bottled water yet don't care for the tap water at Disney. I found an alternative filtered water bottle that we plan on taking to Disney next week. The price is slightly more than the Brita but the filters last for 200 gallons (rather than 15) and it filters non-pure water as well (microbiological, Chemical, and Dissolved Solids) whereas Brita is mainly just for improving the taste of the water. Check it out at http://www.seychelle.com/index.htm

I got the LAST Brita bottle at my Walmart today for $1.50!! They didnt have any extra filters though. I'll be on the lookout for them.

I know someone asked this before, but do these brita water filters take the funky taste out of the WDW water?

I am so glad to know where to look!I heard about the water bottles on a tips page but haven't been able to find them.I leave in 5 5 days for my first trip!!

Yes..the brita bottle filters really take the yuck out of Orlando water. We heard about them here on this board and wow were we glad we did. We drink alot of water (my husband and I each drink 2 liters a day) and it just wasn't feasible to pay for bottled water in that quanity. So we would fill our bottles with ice and water from the hotel before we left that morning. Then we would continue to fill them up through out the park. Most of the water fountains have really ice cold water ( my favs are in the MK and Epcot) if you find the water isn't cold enough for you just go to a counter service and ask for a cup of ice. It's (usually) free. I can't say enough about these water bottles. WE LOVE THEM!!

I bought two yesterday in Walmart along with a bunch of filters. FYI: There is only one left at the SuperWalmart in north Huntsville, Alabama!!

Ok..so I didn't realize they were being pulled off the market or something. I need one more for my son and I need replacement filters and since I"ve read this thread I can't find ANYTHING! HELP!!! Any fellow B'ham Alabama disers out there got any suggestions?

Am I correct in assuming that you have looking in the plumbing area of all of your local Walmart/SuperWalmarts? I checked out Target locally and they don't carry any.
There are a ton of the bottles and filters on e-bay -there even a pretty good deal with shipping. You may want to call to see if one of your Ace Hardware stores has them.
Good Luck!

Thanks for the tip. My fiance and I bought the bottles for our Disney trip last year and they worked out great, looking forward to using them again. Heading to walmart ;)

I saw the filters at Giant (supermarket) here in Maryland. I didnt pick them up because I havent found the bottles yet... Ill go to walmart on Sunday, its a trek from here.
