I was wondering if you may help out? I found a mug from 1976 approximately. Its a childs mug featuring micky and goofy as firemen and the mug has a push on top shaped like a firemans hat that you can put a straw into. I have tried e-bay and google and am even more confused. I don't want to buy a book just for the cup. So I am looking for collectors' help. Thanks.

Sorry to burst your bubble...

What you have is part of a childrens place setting that was sold in toy stores in the 70's and early 80's. Similar items are commonly found in yard sales for a quarter, and at flea markets for a little more. Not worth putting on eBay.

One exception from the same era is the set from the America on Parade series maybe sold only at the parks. Mint in the original box should be worth maybe $15 or $20 bucks...

Thanks, My sister bought the cup for me in the 70's when she was at the Magic Kingdom and I had recently found it. It has more sentimental value(she is no longer with us) and I was just trying to see if it indeed had any monetary value just for fun. No bubble burst here. Thanks again.

I'm so glad you were not disappointed with the value of the cup. When I was an active collector, I never acquired anything that didn't have a sentimental value. Or at least almost never...
