My DDs (12 and 6) are into making "trading cards". They like to cut up magazines and glue pictures onto cards. They asked me to buy them some cardstock because the construction paper wasn't holding up to the glue and ink, but I had a better idea. I gave them my overflowing folio of scraps and let them use whatever they want.....you'd think I handed them a gold mine! They've had 3 days now of playing with it all, thrilled with each new discovery of some scrap of patterned paper. DD#1 didn't like how messy the folio was, though, so last night she organized it all
.
It saved me some money not having to buy them any cardstock, it got a big messy thing out of my scrap area, and they are having fun.....that's win-win here
