The new Werther's caramel store in Germany in EPCOT is lovely. But, there is a special treat there that I never noticed before. For those who are watching what they eat and don't want to overly indulge OR for those who want to watch their wallets.

On the right hand wall as you walk into the caramel store, there are bins of individually wrapped SOFT Werther's caramels. There are plain as well as some mixed with milk or dark chocolate and even a selection of sugar free. The best part is that they are 10 cents or 20 cents a piece!

So, you can have just a bite or two of delicious carmel AND get if for some pocket change. THAT is a miracle at the Land of the Mouse!

I got a handful for a dollar and we all had a bite to share....enjoy!

oh, and no line to wait in either. You can check out at any of the attached stores!

That is a great find! How many times do you need that litter something and don't want to spend $3.00 for it. Great for the plane ride home too.

Great find. My mom is always wanting me to bring her home some of the sugar free candies from Goofy's. Bet she'd love the Werther sugar free caramels though. Thanks!

awesome...we've never been in there that there hasn't been an incredible line at the bakery/candy counter. And those desserts, though they look wonderful are also large. I never even noticed individual bite-size caramels! Thanks for the info, will get a few treats in September.:thumbsup2

What a great tip, I bet if I bring a small ziploc these would be great to keep handy for a small snack when you just a need a little something :D

Keep in mind that they will put them in a lil disney bag for you....so they become easily portable and LOOK like a real disney treat..lol.

I just tried some more of the different flavors today.

i got 4 kinds : plain soft caramel (10 cents),

thin hard caramel shell filled with liquid carmel inside (20 cents),

meltaway milk chocolate with a small swirl of soft caramel (20 cents),

meltaway dark chocolate with a small swirl of soft carmel (20 cents).

The last 2 i have seen in stores at home but never tried them.

They had about 5 more varieties. At least 3 of them were sugar free.

All of them are the size of a regular hard werthers candy or a small tootsie roll.

I bought 20 pieces for 4 people .....$3 total and we could pick several things to sample.

WHERE ON EARTH DO YOU FIND (semi)PENNY CANDY ANYMORE??

Cool! Thanks for the info! :thumbsup2

My Disney file just keeps getting bigger & bigger. :rotfl:

Super! Thanks for sharing. I love the idea of moderation. I could give my 6-year old $1 and have him get himself a reasonable treat.

Hi Jeanieblue114,
Great info. and thanks for sharing. :thumbsup2 Sounds like a wonderful treat at a very reasonable price. :woohoo: Thanks again.

Loved it! I get so mesmerized by the big case, that I have never noticed those. I'm sure I will buy those I ADDITION TO what I normally get. That is one awesome place!

We got a caramel apple there yesterday ($4.95) It was very good. Didn't know about this place until then.
