FOTLK last showing of the day

On some days when AK closes at 5pm, FOTLK has a published showing at 5pm... is this normal? Do they actually run one more showing when the park is closing down?

It's a typical schedule for FOLK. It's similar to how Fantasmic is scheduled at DHS.

Yes, it is like a bonus 30 mins to your Animal Kingdom day. I went to this show last Sept and it was very empty. A good time to see it without the crowds.

The park doesn't "close down" as in shut everything off. What "shutting down" in Disney World speak means "no one will be able to enter through any entrance". Those in the park will be in lines or in shows or in restaurants and will be free to enjoy until those experiences end.

We have often done the Nemo show that is "at closing" time, then walked out in a fairly empty park. Great to save actual park time.
