FOTL Scanning??

Hi, We are heading for HRH July 23 and 24. This is our first stay on Universal property. I have read about the FOTL changes and would like to know from returning visitors if they are scanning your hotel key when you do each ride?? The only ride I have read being scanned at this time is The Mummy. Thanks for your input!! Joan

Thats the only one I was scanned on was the Mummy. I was scanned once on Hulk the last day. I had checked out of the Hotel on July 10 and my card came up invalid. None of the ride-ops except for the mummy told us we could not ride again until 3:00 PM. We were there July 6 through July 10.

Patch, weren't you allowed to ride during your check-out day? We have a late flight and were planning on riding at the parks till dinner time.

You are allowed FOTL from the day you check in until the day you check out, meaning, the day you check out you get a full day of FOTL.

Yes we were. I am sorry I confused you. Even though the Ride Op said my card was invalid she looked at the card for the dates and waved us on. That was the only problem we had riding any rides that day. We left the park about 4:00 PM that day. Thanx and again sorry for the confusion.

Sometimes a card comes up as "invalid" if it is scanned too quickly, which happens on occasion. When that happens, a re-scan is usually required.
