FOTL Confusion after reading the posts (help Phamtom)

We will be in UO this wednesday 12/29 and will be there thorough 12/31. We are staying on-site for the only reason to take advantage of FOTL. Some of the recent posts here say that you can:
1) Only use FOTL every 2 hours (isn't this just the express pass?)
2) Only ride the same ride once before 3:00 PM, after which you can go on that ride as much as you want.


What is the real deal with FOTL this New years week? Anyone know?

My assumption is that we can use FOTL for all rides all days anytime.

In peak time, FOTL is restricted. Until 3:00 you can use FOTL once for any ride. On SOME rides they may restrict you to not re-ride until after 3:00. Then you can re-ride to your heart's content. This will only be true on the most popular rides with large line-ups.

My son who works at Mummy said they weren't restricting FOTL at all during the Christmas holidays. They are not making them wait until after 3:00 for re-rides, etc. He was told it was just a summer thing.

Now my husband was working at MIB on Christmas eve and Christmas day and the day after Christmas and they were restriciting re-rides on MIB to every 15 minutes, although most of the time after scanning the card even if it wasn't 15 minutes they were letting them re-ride.

I doubt you will have any restrictions when you are there.

Good news! They are scanning but not turning people away for re-rides today.

More Good News! They are doing fireworks at both universal and IOA every night at 9:50 PM this week.

I was also there last Saturday -Wednesday. They never restricted the use of FOTL for hotel guests. They did scan the cards at some attractions but it seemed as though that was just to see if the card was valid. There was hardly a line in any express line so maybe why that's why they didn't restrict it.
