FOTL benefit for DL hotels?

We just got back from Orlando and had a wonderful time. But one of the greatest things we experienced was the "Front of the Line" (FOTL) access to Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure if you stay at their on-site hotels, Hard Rock hotel and the Portofino Bay hotel. It was absolutely wonderful and our reason for staying on site. You would show your room key and were allowed entry through their Express lines (similar to FastPass). :D

The hotels were like DL ones in that they are within walking distance to the parks. And since there are only two, it did not cause problems for others. I was thinking that DL could probably do the same for their onsite guests. WDW couldn't because they have too many hotels, no one else would be able to ride. But DL only has three hotels, so it could work there.

What do you think?

Aloha,
Donna

It might work. Would you incorporate resort guests with Fastpass or have a seperate line? If you incorporated it with Fastpass you'd probably have to distribute less Fastpasses. If you didn't you have to build a third line and for some attractions that would be impossible.

Aloha,
Put it with Fast Pass. You probably would be saving in Fast Passes needed since none of those staying in the Disney hotels would need them - so it would balance out.
Do they have FOTL at USH?

No, but We tried a similar Fastpass program which failed horribly. It was called Fast Track...LOL Our queues are just not set up for two seperate lines. Plus we don't have that many attractions to use it at. Back to the Future and Jurassic were the ones we tested Fast Track on. We couldn't do it on ET because of how the Queue is set up and Terminator and Backdraft are both attraction shows And they didn't even want to mess with that.

When we visited USH a year ago, I would have been happy to have a EZ or whatever for the tram ride and BTTF. We waited forever for both. :)
