I just checked my e-mail, and I had a string of forwarded e-mails from my cousin. Yesterday, I got a string of forwarded e-mails from my aunt. I have a friend who forwards me strings of e-mails on a regular basis.

Can I just say that I hate it when people send me long strings of forwarded e-mail? Most of the people who send me long strings of forwarded e-mal never drop me a note to see how I'm doing, or let me know what they've been up to. I am sick of forwarded e-mail!

And the other thing that really bugs me about forwarded e-mail is when you get the same one five times because someone who got it from the original person forwards it to you. I have a couple of groups of friends who will send e-mails out to the same people, and then people in that group will forward it to me. I very rarely forward e-mails to people, but when I do I always check to see who else received it from the person who sent it to me so that I don't send them something a second time! It drives me crazy!

Well, I think that's enough for a vent for one day. Thanks for listening :)

I dislike that as well. I have one "friend" who sends forwards to my home email in that manner. Someone here in the office also sends numerous forwards, but not all at once. I rarely read (usually 'cause the attachments have been stripped by AV) the messages and rarely forward them to someone else.

I've told all my friends and family not to forward things like that, so I actually get very little; sometimes from someone in an alumni association or something.
Most of them are just bunk anyways, and I think they got tied of me writing back to explain why they were just wasting my and their time.

I hate the forwarded ones that say...Pass this along to 10 friends in the next 10 minutes or your head will explode or whatever.....

Geez, I don't have time for that.

My MIL does it all the time. DH has her on his Blocked lists. Most of what she send me just goes to my Junk folder. If she is sending something important it usually has a subject that doesn't get filtered. The price of technology is a lot of wasted time.

I used to have that problem until I told them to stop forwarding stories, chain letters, etc. to me. Now I only hear from them when they really have something to say.

DH's sisters do it all the time. GRR.. and it is never a note to say hi, just those chain letters or hoax things.(yeah, Bill Gates is gonna share his fortune with you, and Old Navy is dying to send you stuff, too. Come on, were you born yesterday?!)

Yeah, I hate that too. I once got 10 from the same friend at one time. And it was from her work email too!! I really hate the ones that say "You have to try this, it's so cool." And it turns out to be one of those math problems where you take your age and the year you were born yada yada, and you get the same # everytime. HELLO!!! It's math!! Not some strange warp in the time continuum. I also hate the chain letter types, don't people know about those by now.

This drives me beserk! My highschool roomate (yes, I went to a boarding school) did this to me all the time - she never wrote anything in the e-mails and I ended up never hearing from her outside of that only to find out that she had since moved far away and has a baby! Oh, and I always would send her a note after a forwarding episode to no avail. Oh well.
