Exactly what I was going to say! I stayed deck 9 midship on the fantasy last April and some of the aft rooms were very close to me.One other thing, just because "Midship" is sold out, doesn't necessarily mean you have to sail Forward or Aft. Some of the "Aft" cabins are pretty close to the "Midship" cabins, same with Forward ones. The have to make a distinction somewhere. So you may be able to find a cabin still available the is pretty close to being Midship. Best of luck!
We have similar room location, was hoping it was going to be good...as you said up one deck to dinner, down one deck to get off. I am concerned though, that the galley is above us. On our last cruise, we had to change rooms because there were bathrooms above us and all we heard all night long was toilets flushing! It was terrible. Anyone have any issues with what's just above your room?We just got back from Deck 2 aft on the Wonder- we were one room forward from the aft elevators. Loved it- never felt any vibrations and loved being close to the elevator. We could go down one deck to get off and up one deck or two for dinner.
Thank you...hope not. We did request to move on our last cruise because of toilet flushing. Luckily they did have another room.We stayed mid-ship deck 2 on the Wonder several years ago. We were under Triton's and never heard any noises. Back then one of the teen's club was on deck 2 mid-ship and we never heard noises from it either.
I prefer forward. There is more motion, but I found that we were not sensitive to it at all. In the aft you sometimes get engine vibrations, which I find annoying. If the category that you'd like is not available midship, do you choose forward or aft? What are the pros and cons to each area?
