Okay I continue to get more and more confused about planning this day. I orginally wanted to spend the evening at MK but after all the advice on DIS I changed my mind a little afraid of large crowds and losing Kids

Anyways, I planned 8:00 ps at Rose and Crown figuring Illuminations would be a 10:00. Wrong it starts at 9:00 so being afraid I might not get a table and see the show I tried to change my PS time. The CM I spoke with recommend keeping our PS because the park will not be as crowded due to the other parks are having firework shows but Epcot is just having the standard Illuminations. I thought I heard they have extra fireworks. She mentioned animal kingdom as a park with fireworks. I have researched this board and others and never heard of such a show. Has anyone heard or seen this show?

What park is the best for the fourth??? I want to see fireworks in a park not wall to wall people. We are staying a FW and will have our own car if that helps.

Thanks

The AK does not have fireworks ever due to the animals. Honestly, any park you watch the fireworks at is going to have wall-to-wall people on the 4th of July. That being said, the MK is decidedly more crowded than Epcot and MGM. Anywhere you go is going to be very crowded, unless you view from a restaurant (Narcoossee's, California Grill). I don't know if they still have Priority Seating left, but you could try. We always watch the MK fireworks on the 4th from Narcoossee's, then go to the MK. Have fun!

ILoveDiz I was just coming over to post the same question..
We have PS at chef Mickeys at 7:20, I was thinking we would see the fireworks at MK.. Bad idea??? where should we go??

ILoveDiz,

I think the CM you spoke with is mistaken. Epcot always has special 4th of July fireworks after Illuminations, and I don't know why this year would be any different. Illiminations cruises start at $350 that night ( for 4 people - $50 per additional person). I can't imagine them charging that much for just the usual Illuminations show.

I'd stick with Epcot.

Thanks for your advice. I guess I will stick with Epcot. Keeping my fingers and toes crossed we get a patio table and can view the show.:hyper:

We've been to Epcot twice for 4th of July - and both times, they had a spectacular fireworks show, along with Illuminations!! We'll be back at Epcot this year for 4th of July!!!

See ya there!!

How about watching from the Poly or GF beach? That way you don't have the wall to wall crowds. Then you could take the monorail to the park afterward - going against the crowds. That's what we're doing.

Also, last year Illuminations WAS at 10:00. I know because we watched Sorcery in the Sky at MGM at 9:00, then walked over to EPCOT and watched Illuminations at 10:00. They were both awesome, but Illuminations was my favorite! So, you may be okay with your PS at Rose and Crown!

We will be joining you on the 4th and after much deliberating, have decided to watch the fireworks from Epcot. The show is supposed to be spectacular on the 4th, so I am sure you will not be disappointed. I believe the CM gave you bad information. See you there!! ::MickeyMo
