Hi this is my familys first time at a disney resort, we are really excited about staying in the cabin, is there alot to do there?, we plan on taking a day of dw to relax, it will be me & hubby, 21yr old niece, 17 d, 5d,4d, so we arw hoping there is fun for all ages!

If you are fitting a day off inbetween going to the parks, I'm sure the favorite activity of the day will be to sleep in!!! LOL.

Yes, we find lots to do at Ft. Wilderness on our non-park days ... rent boats on Bay Lake (from Marina - watermice, pontoons) ... from bike barn at Meadowlands Recreation center you can rent fishing equipment, pedalboats, canoes, bikes, golf carts. At the Meadowlands Recreation area you will also find a shuffleboard court, tennis courts and volleyball courts. Teatherball can be found at the end of the 1500 loop. And there is a swimming pool and arcade.

At night there is a sing-along and a disney movie. You can buy marshmellows to roast over the fire.

You can watch the water parade from the Marina beach.

There is a petting zoo at Pioneer hall. There are trails to walk/bike.

So many things.

Ride the ferry to the various resorts and explore.

Visit the gift shop.

Have a pizza/beverage at Crockett's Tavern. Enjoy a buffet at Trails End.

There is horseback riding, carriage rides, etc.

You name it .......Lot's to do.

Van pretty much said it all. I'm guessing he's been there a time or two. :) Check out the MK fireworks schedule for that day, and catch them from the marina beach, a perfect view, while you're there for the electric water pageant. Van also mentioned riding the boat to check our the other resorts. One of our DS's(12) favorite things to do is go to each of the MK resorts, arcade hopping. CR has the best one, but it's fun to hit each one. WL also has a pretty good arcade, and it's a great resort to explore. FW does have 2 arcades there, but not on the level of the one at CR. We're going to be spending 10 nights at FW over Christmas, and we're disappointed that we can't figure out how to add more down-time into our schedule. :)

I think you got excellent ideas so far, and I want to add a little bit about the electric golf cart. We have stayed at the cabins 3 times, and we always rent one of the electric carts from the bike barn at least one day. They are expensive ($44/day), but we have a great time driving all around the resort and looking at all of the amazing camp sites and going to the petting zoo area. Plus, your 17 and 21 yo can drive.

Have a wonderful time on your trip!
