No doubt-IMHO the "easiest' and "funest" route to Trails End would be bus from POP to MK and then boat from MK to FW.

And then we would probably just walk to Meadows instead of waiting for a bus,but we don't find it that long of a walk and like to enjoy the Campground as we walk.

What time would you look to leave Pop on the bus to MK to the boat to FW for a 5:15pm ADR at Trails End? THANKS!!

I would be at the Pop bus stop no later than 3 PM.

This allows for you to wait for a bus, travel time to MK, wait time for a boat to Ft Wilderness, travel time to FW, time to arrive at least 10 minutes before your scheduled ADR to check-in.

Which is why they should drive, especially because they also need to get home after the movie. Why take a bus to the boat dock, boat to MK, and a crowded bus back to Pop, since it will be the end of the night at MK. Just a quick bus back to your car, then drive back to Pop!

Since you are driving there, you might want to bring a s'mores kit. The campfire (or two if it's busy) is very large and you can roast your marshmallows easily. Check out youtube for some videos.

I did not find it in writing per se, but there was an article written that said summer time campfires typically begin at 8pm and winter time begin at 7pm. I do not know the accuracy of this.

Travel time from POP to MK----15 minutes
Walking time from MK Bus Depot through MK Security Check and to the MK FW/WL Boat Dock----5 to15 minutes
Wait for FW Boat----0 to 15 minutes
Travel time to FW----15 minutes
Walk from FW Boat Dock to Trails End----2 minutes

Total travel time----37 minutes to 82 minutes
