Fort wilderness shows that the wagon rides are only at 6pm and 830pm on Disney website, is this true? We have a dinner at 5 at trails end and thought it might be nice to do a wagon ride following dinner, but if it's only those two times we might not make it.

Anyone familiar with this? Also does the petting zoo area close at 5 along with the stables?

Those times sound right. Also, there is no petting zoo at the Fort. Just the draft horses and ponies which we're not supposed to pet. Hope y'all have fun on your trip!

Here's a pic of the wagon:DSCN0238.JPG

Used to be that you took the wagon ride in a real wagon filled with hay (before everyone became allergic to it). The wagon actually took you into a densely wooded area in the dark (before the entire population had flashlights at the ready to spoil the mood). The wagon came out at the shore of the lake just in time to see the Electric Light Parade glide in and pleasantly surprise the wagon's occupants as it light up the sky and filled our ears with music. It is one of my favorite memories. I bet you'll even enjoy the current version!
The Tri Circle D Ranch and the horses are great!
Enjoy!

And at $8.00 it is the best bargain Mickey offers at his place!:)

It is especially awesome during Christmas!

How long are the wagon rides? Does anyone know the route now?

45 minutes. Not sure on the route.
Sounds like fun, esp if it goes thru the campsites to see their Christmas decorations. I hear people decorate their campsites and trailers/motor homes. This will be my first time going early Dec. to see all the WDW Christmas decorations.

Well if I'm out of dinner by 6 perhaps I will be able to catch the ride then. If not, perhaps I can try another day!

Moved my dinner up to 4:45 in hopes of getting on the wagon. Where do you pay for the ride?

For some reason my reservation at 445 says brunch. That must be a typo right?

Update on FW wagon rides, I did a little poking around on Disney web site. Doesn't give a route, but it's $8 for 25 min. No reservations. First come first served basis.

Thanks! Do you know where to line up for it?
No, sorry. I've never done the wagon ride. But since reading this thread its on my to do list for Dec! I'm thinking it may be somewhere in the area around HoopDeDoo and Circle D. Once you arrive in WDW either the resort concierge or guest services at a park could tell you.

Does anyone know if the wagon ride goes past Chip and Dales sing along. We are headed to HDDR and it would be neat if to do the wagon ride and get dropped off there are opposed to taking a bus.

I don't think the wagon ride goes that far. I've seen it go thru the 100 and 200 loops. Usually lots of good decorations in those loops. Not sure if it goes in others.
