Fort Wilderness using DVC res points

Does anyone else have problems getting dates at Fort Wilderness using reservation points for next year? Since we can only call for up to 7 months in advance no matter what date I ask for they tell me the same story "there are cabins, but no campsites".

There may be a few days with an open preferred campsite, but we need a premium site due to our RV size and we have a dog. The only loop in preferred that allows a dog is #300 and we walked through it and no way would we fit in a site there.

It would be nice if they added on to Ft Wilderness more sites for bigger RV's. Anyone have any secret on how to secure sites that I may not be aware of?

You don't have to wait for 7 months for Disney Collection.

I thought you could only use points for a cabin.

Yes you can. You have an option for a premium or preferred campsite.
