I wondered if people decorate the cabins/cabin outdoor areas or is decorating mainly done at the campsites?

Also, I know there are many opinions about the best loops to request a cabin, but I would welcome anyone thoughts from someone who has stayed at the cabins recently to chime in...Sometimes there is construction going on or some new feature that could change where one might want to stay...Any thoughts would be appreciated...

Thank you so much!!!!!!

We stayed at cabin and also decorate the outside area... I would say more people in campsite decorate as there is more campsites... 100 loop has two cabins and I've stayed in both of them... I would ask for them...As you will be right in the heart of the decorated sites...

How did you get into those cabins? I thought they were only for employees. We have always wanted to stay in one.

Those two cabins in loop 100 are not available for requests. They are VIP cabins in location only (down close to the beach and Trails End) but they are not given upon request. If they were, they would be requested and used all the time and wear out faster.

They are in the queue for random assignments and we have posters who have stayed in them like veraletta (use the search function if you wish) but again they were randomly assigned to them.

Cabin loops 2100 and or 2200 near the entrance to the loops are close to the bus stop and nearest the Meadow Pool, Trading Post, and Campfire areas.

To get the site up front by the marina I would just write a letter and send it to Disney, requesting the site close to the marina. I was told that they were VIP but no one was staying in them so Disney let me.. like about 4 times..lol
I've been writing letters to Disney for years letting them know how much I enjoyed my trip, and thanking them... Also for requesting things for resort, letter writing is something people did years ago before the email...lol

veraletta, they must like you a lot. I bet you have a super secret high customer rating to get special treatment like that! Good for you. ::yes::

DH and I stayed in #118 before. No request we were just assigned it. At the time I had no idea we were staying in such a sought after location! I can be clueless sometimes.

Thanks Bama Ed but I think it's because people don't write unless they are mad, and sometimes I think Disney would just like to get a nice letter on how Disney cast members made your day...Magical...
I knew those cabins were VIP because the girl said they were the first time we stayed at them. She checked twice to make sure we were to get them and after the girl said yes we were to, we got the cabin...

People need to report to Disney about the nice cast members who help them out and start looking at their vacation differently... While we are on vacation cast members are working and working very hard at a job, that to you may think seem like the best job... It's not, they are underpaid and they put up with not so nice guest, who are overtired and hot....
