What is the easiest way to get to Comtemporary via Disney transportation. We will be staying in Fort Wilderness in a motor home and will not have a car. :confused3

The easiest way is to take the boat across the bay. It is about a 10 minute boat ride.

When we stayed at Fort wilderness (1 year ago), the boat only stopped at Wilderness Lodge and Magic Kingdom. I think you have to take a boat to the Magic Kingdom and then a monorail to Contemporary.

Are you sure? We stayed at WL and took a boat right to the contemporary. I would think Ft. Wilderness had the same boat trip since they tend to share boats.

I went to WDW in 1982. At that time, I remember the monorail went through the Comtemporary. Does it still?

Yes it does! It is so much fun to sit at Chef Mickey's eating and watch the monorail go by. You really don't hear it though, or at least we didn't.

We ate at the Hoop Dee Doo in Fort Wilderness last month. After the show we walked to the pier and took a boat to the Contemporary.
You need to pay attention, there are 2 boats that run from the dock. The stop on your left is the boat to Wilderness Lodge and on to the MK, The stop on your right is to the Contemporary. It was a short 10 minute ride and very enjoyable. From there we took the Monorail on to the Poly where we were staying.
We had decided we would take whichever boat came 1st. The boat to the MK, however, was very crowded as folks from all over the world were headed to the MK to connect to buses. It just happened that we missed the MK boat, but we saw the Contemporary boat on the way to FW.
It work out great.
Enjoy your trip. Fort Wilderness is a fun resort.
