Fort Wilderness Question

Just wondering if anyone has ever rented a canoe or gone fishing at Fort Wilderness. I thought I read once you could go in the canals? My ds 15 would also love to do this and fish. Can you bring your own fishing gear, catch and release, can you buy bait onsite and is there an age limit for using the canoe yourself etc., I am also wondering if there could be any alligators, etc. around. Any experience/reviews/info is appreciated. Thanks.
