fort wilderness question

Changing my ressies to FW from POR. With the new codes we can now hve a little more room for about the same $ and my 2 sons (7 & 8 yrs old) will have a blast I have 2 questions.

Which loop is best for convenience (will be staying in the cabins)?Where should we stop for groceries on the way to the resort?
Is FW within walking distance to WL? If so, would you take a walk there? Can we use the pool there? Does the launch stop at any other resorts? Any help would be appreciated.

Oh, by the way, is coffee supplied in the cabins?

Some answers:
Yes, you can walk to the Wilderness Lodge - it's a nice walk on a trail through the woods! Or you can just hop the boat over to the Lodge. The boat also stops at the Contemporary.

No, you cannot use the pool at the Wilderness Lodge. FW has 2 pools of their own, even though they're not very fancy (no water slides or hot tubs).

We stayed at Ft wildereness this past jan and had a blast. I would ask for a cabin in the 2600 loop. You are right near the quiet pool, a bus stop and a laundry facility. Yes, there are coffe makers in the cabin, but you must supply the coffee.

If you can afford it, I would rent a golf cart...it would make life much easier there, and you won't spend much time on transportation.

The launch from the Marina stops at the wildereness lodge. The another boat goes to the contemporary. You can take either to get to the Magic Kingdom....obviously the boat to the Contemporary would require some walking to MK.

Yes, you can walk to the wilderenss lodge, there is a path, I have nver waalked it though, so i don't have any info on it.

As far as grocery's, our limo took us to Kash N Karry on our way from the airport. There is also a gooding nearby and one other store that I can't remeber the name of. They do sell some stuff at one of the trading posts.
