We are dining at Trail's End this Thanksgiving for dinner, and I was wondering if the campsites will be decorated for Christmas? If so do you recommend renting a golf cart or taking the carriage ride to see the decorations?

I was in FW the Saturday after Thanksgiving in 2012. We took the wagon ride throughout the campgrounds and saw a lot of decorated campsites, and more that were not decorated. I think it was fun though, and would do it again in a heartbeat. There were enough to justify the time.

I'm not sure about the Thanksgiving timing, but I have heard that the best decorations are near Pioneer Hall and you can just walk around the various loops. I'm planning to take the wagon ride too ($8 per person cash only) when we go in early December.

WE were there for Thanksgiving a few years ago. WE took the wagon ride and it was fun. There were quite a few campsites that were decorated, so if you are in that area, I would definitely go. The 8 per person was well worth it, IMO.

The wagon ride sounds fun! We just might have to check it out.

Are the Holidays/Christmas a big deal at Fort Wilderness? We've never visited Fort Wilderness. We are DVC members. We're going in December and staying at Disney's Saratoga Springs. In January we're staying at the DVC Villas at Wilderness Lodge. We were planning on visiting Fort Wilderness then, in January, to take our kids to Chip 'n' Dale's Campfire Sing-A-Long and try Hoop Dee Doo Revue's Fried Chicken. Should we try and do this now in December? Please advise. Thanks.

Just found out about Mickey's Backyard Christmas Day Feast - Fort Wilderness Pavilion - Trail's End Dinner Show Buffet. Any other Fort Wilderness Holiday gems?

I've never been to Fort Wilderness during the holidays, but I've heard lots of good reviews. You can search for it on youtube to see if it is something you'd be into, https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=fort+wilderness+campground+christmas
