Has anyone been to the nightly campfire at Fort Wilderness? I am looking to find out what time it is held, how long it lasts, and what characters are at the event. Will it be held during the last week of December? Finally, if you have been to this show, what are your thoughts on going to it with 4 kids, three of whom are under age 7.

From www.DisneyCampers.com

"This is a sing along with Chip & Dale and then a Disney movie is shown. There is a concession stand that sells Hot dogs, popcorn, snacks, candies, marshmallows and sticks to roast on the fire, s'mores and refreshments. A movie schedule is given to you on check in. During inclement weather the sing along is moved to the porch of the Meadow Trading Post."

There's also a monthly movie schedule on the website as well as lots of other info.

We love the campfire movie and singalong! When DD was 5, and 6 she really enjoyed this. She thought roasting marshmellows over an open fire was great. The sing-a-long leader really tries to get everyone involved, especially the children. Of course DD thought watching a movie "outside" was very special. Our only problem was that DD was afraid of the characters, so meeting "Chip" and "Dale" wasn't a highlight. What we really appreciated about the movie was that after a hectic day roaming the parks, it was nice to relax outside and watch a movie. Often DD fell asleep before the movie was over, and I carried her to the bus, or boat!

Chip and Dale are there! You cannot go wrong!

I really can't answer your questions as it was a couple of years ago we went. I will tell you that there were 18 of us. All ages and everyone enjoyed it very, very much. I also did and I do not go in for that type of thing.
