Anyone stayed there? What do you think? Is it easy to get to the park, or is staying off-site just as easy?

Thanks- we're first timers! ( going with husband and two-year old!)

Do you mean Fort Wildernees Cabins? If so.....they are great. We go to WDW 2-3 times per year and for the last 3 years have stayed only in the cabins for all visits. They are big for 2 adults and a toddler but if you like space then you'll be happy. You have the bedroom for the toddler to nap in while you can be doing other things. We take advantage of the full kitchen by doing a lot of our own cooking.

It is more time consuming to get to the parks though if you rely on Disney transportation. You must take a bus to either end of the campground and then another bus (or boat) to your final destination.

You and your toddler will enjoy the campfire singalong as well.

80 more days until we are there again!

Yes, the fort wilderness cabins. All these names are so confusing!

I've had a hard time telling from the disney website- are the cabins one or two bedrooms?

Thanks!

The cabins are one bedroom, but there is a Murphy (pull down) bed in the living room as well. It's been a while since we stayed at FW, but from what I can remember the bedroom has a queen bed with bunkbeds on the side. Definitely make use of the full kitchen to make meals. This will save you a bundle when it comes to eating. The cabins also have a grill and picnic table next to them for eating outdoors on those lovely Florida (non-humid) nights. Have a great time & definitely check out the Chip & Dale Campfire Sing-a-long.
