Hello everyone!

We arrive in 32 days! Never stayed at fort wilderness before and have some questions!

We are bringing grandmom with. She has a scooter. We do not want a handicap cabin because with the young kids we need a tub. How can we charge the scooter? Do we or can we leave it outside? Are there electrical outlets outside? Suggestions?

We rented a golf cart from Tee Time. Is there a way to have the golf cart "pull" the scooter?

How do you tell your golf cart against all the others, they all look the same to me?

Is the sleeper sofa comfortable? When we booked we thought it had the Murphy bed, but this has now changed. Will grandmom be comfortable?

What is the best cabin loop? Should I make a request.

What is the best way to travel to the parks? Are the commutes long?

Anything special I should bring? We are driving down. Have 3 kids, 8, 5, and 15 months. Husband and grandmom. I know they include a pack and play. Any suggestions?

Thank you in advance!

Relax. The Cabins have a handy dandy outside outlet so you can leave the scooter out there at night and charge it up. It's on a deck that no one else will enter on it so all will be fine. Trust me, my then new 5 year old granddaughter and I would go out there in the mornings, plug in a laptop and be in PJs and just sit and talk and get to know each other. It's reached by either the front door of the cabin or the "back door" off the bedroom. The scooter will be fine and getting charged up all through the night.

We never rented a golf cart (even with people in their 70s) but I would recommend just taking something outlandish, like we did for that first trip with our soon to be granddaughter and her stroller. I went to the dollar store, got a totally ridiculous bandanna and tied that around the stroller handle. You can do the same with your golf cart. And I can say that the bandanna was burned after the trip :)

Our son and his soon to be wife slept on the sleeper sofa and they said it was great and not like a typical sleeper sofa with things poking you in the back.

The Cabins will supply you will all you need to have a good stay. Anything extra would be your own personal choices. Oh - one note - since there is only one bathroom, check under the bathroom counter area for extra towels. There was no way in heck would could have used all that many for our stay. And, if bathroom space becomes a problem, just use the kitchen sink. That's what we did with four adults needing to put in contacts before life began.

And another thing - don't worry about walking around and feeling relaxed. When my soon to be granddaughter and I were out there in our PJs, our neighbors were also out and walking around in theirs. If you want to relax, just go back there in the evenings and sit on your deck and chill. It's that type of place.

Transportation - if people in their 70s and others who have never been to Disney World could figure it out, you can too. Remember - you are on vacation and things will work out.

A Golf Cart can NOT pull a scooter. That is a safety hazard for y ou and for other nearby guests. Towing anything is prohibited by Disney

Loop 2500 is small, near a bus stop and next to the pool and laundry.

I recommend driving to all parks except MK. Take the boat to MK (Internal bus for Grandma to get to Settlement first). Or you can drive Grandma and her scooter first to Settlement. There's a parking lot across the road from the bus stop, then drive back to your cabin and take the family on the golf cart to the beach for the boat.

You should charge your golf cart outside overnight too so be conscious of that. There are also outlets outside on the deck, maybe bring a heavy duty exterior extension cord for the scooter.

Our Tee Time cart had a floral lei on it. We've decorated our carts with lots of things, wait until you see what people do!
