Fort Wilderness Cabins And Towel Animals

I know its just luck to get one from mousekeeping in the hotels. I was just wondering if anyone has ever received one when staying in the cabins? Does mousekeeping even go to the cabins?

Mousekeeping comes every day to the cabins. Most people dont realize the cabins are really a deluxe resort.

We were in cabin 2735 in January. There were towel animals in both front windows of each cabin through the entire loop! The people on the inside could enjoy them and the people going by could enjoy them. It really was neat.

We stayed in the cabins last August. We didn't mention to anyone that it was our boys' first trip until about halfway through the week, plus we were celebrating our youngest son's 4th birthday. Well, after our last day at the park,s we came back to a whole bunch of towel animals and our mousekeeper had taken all of the boys' stuffed animals, the ones they brought with them and the ones we'd bought while there, and she'd placed them at the foot of the bed against a pile of pillows, facing the TV. She'd left the TV on and it looked like the animals were all sitting there and watching TV. It was too cute and something my boys will always remember about their first trip to WDW.

We were there in Dec. My youngest DD had brought a huge collection of her stuffed animals from home. She had taken them off the bed in the morning before we left for the park so that mousekeeping could make the bed without needing to move them. When we came home, some of them were sitting, along with a towel animal, watching tv. Others were, literally, on the ceiling!! She had sat several of them along the rafters in the bedroom!!

We have stayed at Coronado Springs and The Beach Club before, but the only times we had towel animals were when we stayed at the FW cabins. We were there over Thanksgiving, and returned to a lot of turkeys. I tried to make some, but never could get them right. I think I liked them more than the kids!

We received them everyday, the kids couldn't wait to get in the door to see what they left!!
