My better half and I are planning to honeymoon at WDW when we get married. We love the idea of staying in a cabin at the Fort Wilderness Resort and Campgrounds.

I have stayed on property 3 times before - twice at the Caribbean Beach Resort and once at the Boardwalk Inn. I was able to see the evening fireworks from other parks from both of these resorts.

Does anyone know if we would be able to see Magic Kingdom's or Epcot's evening fireworks from the cabins?

Thanks,
Amy

The cabins are a good distance away form the beach of Bay Lake. The sites are wooded so I am quite sure no viewing from there. While I do not think you can quite see the fireworks from the Ft. Wilderness beach, the Electric Water Pageant does float by and you can watch that.

You can get a boat to the Contemprary or Poly and see the show from there.

We haven't stayed at FW for about 19 years but back then you could see the MK fireworks from the beach. I'm sure it is still the same.

I agree with Colleen that you probably wouldn't be able to see them from many of the campsites.

But there is another whole forum on the DIS about camping at WDW. I'm sure the experts there could help you.

Have fun!!

You'll be able to see the MK fireworks from anywhere along the FW beach. Most people hang around the marina area...HOWEVER...turn to the right and walk down the beach. The view is GREAT! (It's also a bit secluded for honeymooners! The Electrical Water Pageant is best seen in this same area at 9:45p. Shortly after the EWP the MK fireworks can be seen. Also, there is an evening carriage ride that starts near Pioneer Hall. The driver will stop near the beach so you can watch the fireworks. Have a great time!

Yes! The Fort Wilderness beach has a wonderful view of the MK fireworks! If you go down to the beach, go right when you get to the sand. Grab a couple of beach chairs and drag them all the way down, past the volleyball net, to where the beach gets dark. You'll have a fantastic view - and there's never anyone else there! It's like having your own personal show!! Very romantic!
