Hello everyone,

It has been a couple years but we are heading back to The Fort for spring break 2016. It's funny how when your kids grow up and go to school your travel availability is shrunk to almost nothing. Lucky this year Bike Week in Daytona is one week before spring break.

My wife has given me the OK to drive the RV, with bike inside, down one week early to attend Bike Week. Her bonus is she and the kids have a quick 2.75 hour flight down and back and don't have to ride with me for the 2 or 3 days to get there. I have found that camping prices are very similar in both places so I decided to stay at the fort for two weeks and just ride back and forth to Daytona. I may even get some work done too.

My question is are there any other riders that may be going to Daytona that I could tag along with and for you who live in the area what are some nice day rides I could start and finish from the Fort? I have bounced the idea of going and riding the Keys and back. That may be a bit too far but worth looking at.

Thanks and happy camping,

Mark

snocrossmechanic ,
The DW and I will be bringing our Goldwing to the Fort for the first time in November. We are staying 2 days in Charleston SC, 2 days at Sebastian Inlet Fl to ride the A1A. (always wanted to ride the coast) and then 12 days at the Fort. I am interested in some nice day rides also. This past August we took a day and "drove" to Clearwater Fl. We enjoyed the ride over. May do that on the bike and extend the trip down to Treasure Island and have dinner somewhere on the beach. Hopefully someone will have some good local ride suggestions.
Steve
