We go to Seaside every year and are lucky enough to stay at my sister's beach house, so I'm pretty familiar with the area.

This year we are looking for a complex that has either condos or bungalows so that several families can stay together in one place. We are looking at 2 bed/2 bath type accommodations, and a community pool is a necessity. A walk or bike ride to the beach is ok. We are trying to work with a variety of budgets so we're hoping for places that are no more than $1500/week.

Any of the Fort Walton Beaches are ok. Love the Seaside/Seagrove area, but we're flexible! TIA!

My recommendation would be to check VRBO for a brand new condo complex called Bella Riva. My brother and his wife's family stayed there last year and they said it was absolutely beautiful. I think they had 15 or 18 people in one condo. Here's a link to VRBO or you can just google Bella Riva Fort Walton Beach.

I love that area! Got married there five years ago and can't wait to go back! Enjoy your trip.

Last August we rented a 1 BR condo for our family of 4 through vrbo.com. It had 2 bunks in the entranceway, so it was fine for 4.

The condo was at Pelican Isle Condominiums. We picked it because it was on the beach (Okaloosa Island), had a balcony facing the beach, had free beach service, had a freshwater pool, a whirlpool and the price was reasonable. If we were staying in Ft. Walton again, we'd have no problem staying there. There were also 2 and 3 BR condos available at Pelican Isle.

OH MY GOODNESS. I LIVE IN FT. WALTON BEACH

Actually, I live in Navarre/Gulf Breeze next to Pensacola but whatever
I go to Ft. Walton every weekend since it is 15 minutes away :)

Try the Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort. They have different kinds of accommodations from hotel rooms to homes and the prices come in all different ranges. There are some great specials on their website, too. It is a beautiful place to stay with lots of activites and shopping.

If you actually live there .. you would never want to return.
Everyone who lives here wants to get away from it.

I also second the Sandestin Beach resort each of Destin, Fl.

You can reserve thru their website or also on vbro.

thanks everyone! I love the looks of Sandestin.

What about the South Walton Beach area?
