Hello everybody, it's been quite awhile since I've posted here. We are staying at FW in July and then we want to stay at the Poly for two nights. Will we have a problem parking our travel trailer in the Poly parking lot? We did that a few years ago at AKL and there was plenty of parking and no problems.

:surfweb:

Shouldn't be a problem. We parked our pop-up at CBR last May before we moved over to the Fort.

FW will also let you keep the trailer in their parking lot, while you stay at the Poly. :)

Thank you for your replies. Leaving it at the Fort may actually be more convenient. I just hope it would be safe to do that. I don't want any horrible surprises. :headache:
Should I ask them about leaving it way ahead of time?

We were at FW earlier in the month and wanted to stay longer. FW was overbooked and the Poly was the only place we found an open room and we got 2 nights, just as you want. The outpost cast members said we could park at FW overflow but the RV would not be covered by their insurance. The Poly let us stay there, which we preferred. I ran out to the RV several times to get clothing, food, etc. The Poly parking lot is nice and close too so you don't have to go real far.

That's great! One less thing to worry about. :cool1:
Thank you!
Did you enjoy the Poly?

We've done the same thing. No problems at all. We did make sure we parked our camper under a light though.

LOVE the poly! Hence my screen name. In fact, a perfect WDW vacation to me is a split stay between FW & the Poly!!!!!:cloud9:

I adore all the lush vegetation, tropical music and of course~the view! The volcano pool is undergoing renovations right now, though :guilty:
You can use the quiet pools as well as the main pool at the GF instead.

You will love it!

Oh! I just noticed you aren't going until July! For some reason I was thinking it was next month. ignore what I said about the pool!

Parking under a light is great advice that we will definitely do. We are staying for five weeks in July at the Fort and two days at the Poly. We've never stayed at the Poly before but have been to visit. I've always thought it was beautiful and the perfect place for relaxing besides the Fort. I'm glad to see that others agree. :grouphug: :flower3:

We have been there in July so we know what the heat is like but we are there to relax, take our time and loads of swimming.

I'm now wondering who else will be there in July.:woohoo: :cheer2:

We LOVED the Poly. We had stayed there once after a Disney cruise, but only for 1 day. This was the 2nd time we called central reservations and were told there were no rooms available ANYWHERE in the hotels (minus a 2 br villa at WL for $600+ a night) and we went to the Poly and got a room right away...

As a kid we always stayed at the Fort and staying at the Poly was always a dream for me. The kids love the pool and the rooms are so spacious, especially compared to the Floridian. Of course you can't beat the proximity to the MK.
The expansion of Capt Cooks was a welcome addition too. They have a Dole Whip machine now!!!! I bought a few on the last day and put them in the RV freezer and surprised my sister with one. I ate one yesterday as a matter of fact. They are good but somehow taste better in Disney ;)

Everything is better at Disney except the water.

The water is horrendous!!! :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: Nothing compares to our water. I usually carry gallons of it in the TT and hubby complains that I'm overloading with water. I like "MY" water.;)

They have Dole Whip? Yumm! I wish they had it at the Fort also.

I'm really looking forward to this trip, especially tonight. The weather here is freezing rain. We may very well lose power which I hope doesn't last for days. I can't wait for summer!:rolleyes1
