My sister and I will be in Fort Myers the second week of January. We're planning to go up to Disney for 3 days but can't seem to find any way of getting there that doesnt take 10-13 hours (by bus).

Though I'm 23 I don't have my license and my sister is only 19 so renting a car seems out of the question.

Does anyone here know of any buses or have any suggestions on how we can get there?

Did you look into flying up? Not sure of the cost.

I've looked into the Florida bus but there are no buses to Disney on the day we'd like to go... though there are some to Orlando. We may just have to take the hit and cab from wherever the Orlando bus drops off. Better than no Disney at all!

I did look into flights but they're expensive and there are not many that go straight to Orlando there's usually a layover in Atlanta which would also waste to much travel time.

Thanks!!!

If you can get to Orlando International Airport SOMEHOW -- be it by plane, intercity motorcoach, or airport shuttle -- you can use Disney's Magical Express to any Disney-operated WDW resort hotel. You don't have to arrive by air. You just need DME reservations.

So even if you can't find a good ground transportation option directly to WDW, see if there is any sort of service from Ft. Myers to Orlando International Airport.

Also, check Amtrak (bus + train) from Fort Myers (FTM) to Orlando (ORL), with a connection in Tampa (TPA). You would still have to get from ORL to WDW.

Wow. I don't know what brain fart I was having. I completely didn't think to just catch the magical express.

And that shuttle bus looks awesome and it's super cheap! You guys are life savers!
