Fort Myers Beach travel help request

Has anyone spent a week for a family vacation at Fort Myers Beach? We are considering staying at the Pink Shell resort. Has anyone stayed here? If so, what section did you stay in and do you have any tips to share? TIA

We stayed there about 10 yrs ago before it had it's make over so I can't really tell you anything about it now. It was nice then. It's up on the quieter end of the beach which was good for us. Did you try posting this on the Trip Advisor forum for FMBeach. You can also read reviews for it on TA. I looked it up and most are giving it a 4 out of 5. Some had an issue with lovebugs in May/June but lovebugs are everywhere and at every hotel at that time of year.
It sounds like a great place.
