Does anyone have any info on the Crown International RV Campground? It was formerly Heritage USA. Would just be stopping for overnight. Cost, ease of access to I-77, etc. Thanks.

We have stayed at the Fort mill KOA on our return trip from the Fort. It's only 1/4 mile from 77. Has it's own food place and a gas station. Not a resort but a decent place for the night. We'll be there on 5/6 as that will be our first stop after leaving the Fort that morning.

We've stayed at the Fort Mill Koa as well and while it's nothing outstanding, it is great for a travelling night on the road... Pizza place and gas right where you check in.... and just off the interstate...

I live about 10 miles from both of those campgrounds and myself I would go to the koa , the old ptl campground has not been kept up over the years and is not easy to find ,the koa is about 1/2 mile from 77 and is easy to find I think you would be more happy there for a over nite trip.

Welcome to the camping boards c h stokes.

We have reservations at the KOA on our trip to and from the Fort in August

Have never been there, but have heard from folks that have, but you might want to check into Camp Wilderness Campground that is between Charlotte and Rock Hill. Its the campground that is attached to Carowinds Amusement Park. Here is their website... It might not be what you are looking for, but its worth a try....
We stayed at Camp Wilderness last week-end, on our way back from Fort Wilderness. We've stay there several times over the past few years. Not again, unless they clean-up the campground. Sand and debris all over. We tracked too much sand into our RV. I do not recommend this, even for an overnight stay. There are much better accommodations at the Charlotte Motor Speedway campground in Concord. North from Charlotte on I-85.
IMHO

If you are stopping over in Fort Mill, do the KOA. Easy access to I-77, convenience store right there, etc.
The Heritage USA campground is totally creepy and overgrown and not convenient to I-77 at all. My parents stayed there once when they brought their 5W out and it was pitiful.
