Good morning campers! Hope everyone has a great day!

Gooooood morning, Vietnam!!! (Oh wait, wrong!)

<ahem>

Good morning, Fort Fiends!!

There is nothing, and I mean NOTHING - short of the second coming of Jesus, that can happen to me today that will ever or could ever top my events of yesterday! (See the "Revival of the Angry Thread", page 58, posts 865 & 878. You'll understand.)

Good morning, Dan - and everyone else!

I lived in Springfield in the mid 50's - but I don't remember anything about it except some weird linoleum we had in the house. I also have some vague recollections of my brothers friends coming to our house to watch TV cause we were one of the few people in the neighborhood that had a TV.

RV shows are fun to go to - at least the one in Tampa is. It's like going to the State Fair, only better! You get to see all the really neat toys AND get to eat fair food!! Have a great time!

That's weird!!! I lived there then too? :lmao:

I remember quite a bit about it - there was a reaal nice A&W that we used to eat at maybe once or twice a year - that was a big thing back then.

Do you remember the hot rod that dad bought mom? It was cheap and had a huge engine in it. All the kids used to love that car! It really was a hot rod too. I wish I had that now.......

Mmmmm A&W,,we would bring our own gal. jug from home (so we wouldn't have to pay them for the jug) and have them fill it up to take with us. Yeah, it was a special treat fo us too.:thumbsup2

sorry,,didn't mean to barge upon your memory lane walk.

Mmmmmmm! A&W root beer with a side of Frank's briefcase. Now that's a lunch treat!

Well, you will like this one, it's held at the Big Eastern States Exposition fairgrounds, so it's a good introduction to summer!

I remember that car! Just kidding.

On another side note, Nancy and I took a huge gamble when we were just kids and bought one way tickets to Arizona, bought a '55 Chevy and drove it back across the country. Somewhere (who knows where) we were cruising along at dusk on the highway and could see an A&W with the drive-in style set up and tons of cars. Could not convince Nancy to stop and take a break, check out some other cars. If I had to do it all over again....

Anyhoo, off to make some breakfast for everyone and get ready for the show.

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY! Guys, time to head down to the local convenience store and grab the last remaining rose from the counter display!

Great Sat. Morning Ya'll !!
and,

and,

Happy Valentines Day !!

Anyone feel a poem coming on ?? I'll start,

As time goes by from year to year,
One thing is surely true, my dear;
Though decades come and decades go,
Just seeing you sets me aglow.

Time shifts my body; I start to sag,
When I pass a mirror, it can make me gag.
My joints all ache; I can hardly move;
Still a smile from you, and I’m in the groove.

Getting older can be a pain,
But with you along, I can’t complain.
Despite the things that we go through,
I know I’ll never stop loving you.

Your loving heart turns life to play,
As we laugh at time from day to day.
So I write this poem, and I’ll hang my sign,
Saying, "Always Be My Valentine."

:love:

Nope - just some weird linoleum in the house. Can you tell me what was weird about it? Oh yeah - I also remember our dear brother cutting my hair with a knife. I think he watched Daniel Boone and was really attempting to scalp me.

sorry,,didn't mean to barge upon your memory lane walk.

Frank - You're always welcome to jump in the family talk. We consider you part of the fambily! Which, if you realized just how disfunctional our family was, you might reconsider. Although we have been accused of putting the FUN in disFUNctional! :rotfl2:
