Got my cruise line video in the mail last night!!!

I got a Bon Voyage Welcome thingy with our reservation number but no video.

I think you have to specificly request the video....which I did not. You can watch it on the DCL website without waiting.

I haven't gotten anything in the mail yet, maybe tonight when I get home. I totally understand not wanting to do things without your children. When my Son was younger we wouldn't take a vacation without him and some of our friends thought we were nuts. But I worked and felt I only had a few weeks off a year and I wanted to spend them with him. He still likes to camp with us and go away with us, (we fight more now) and he is 24.

When our kids were younger, we rarely did "adult" things either, but now that we are pretty much empty nesters, we ENJOY the adult stuff!!!

Oh trust me, I completely understand. We're taking my parents on a cruise for their 50th anniversary and we can't wait. They are having the best time as empty nesters! They travel all over, go out to eat all the time and just plain enjoy their lives. I'm happy for them because they're excellent parents and deserve all the good stuff they are enjoying. When I was dealing with my teenage stepdaughters that were living with us, I called my mother one day and apologized. She asked "What are you apologizing for?" I just responded "For everything. This parenting stuff is HARD!" She laughed hysterically and graciously accepted the apology.

okay, so it wasn't really me, but could have been. I did that at Castaway before & I might do it again. This from the woman afraid of heights and afraid of the water. But it was awesome! only 2 other shore excursions could ever compare...mayan ruins at tulum and the helicopter ride to walk on a glacier in alaska.

No, I haven't gotten anything in writing yet, but Rhonda was nice enough to deal with me over the weekend and point me in the right direction to find that I AM indeed booked!!! I ordered the dvd. I can't wait to watch it. When does the Travel Channel usually run all the cruise episodes? I love watching them!

Also, Rhonda told me I can make interim payments on the balance. I would like to have the cruise completely paid for by the end of 2010. I might not have a job Sept 2011, but I'll have a pre-paid cruise!
