FORT FIENDS DREAM CRUISE Sept 4th, 2011 (Labor Day Week)

Okay it looks like everyone that has posted a room is on the same side of the ship. Is this the best side?

Or would it just lean to that side.... :lmao: you know, cuz we're all fat morans!

I'm 8143. So far. Unless I decide to upgrade as we get closer. But I really want a room with the virtual porthole!! :)

Who IS bringin' their kids? Im hoping my brats will have some kids to hang out with because I cant see them going to the tween club and kids club without already kinda knowing someone else who might go with them.

FE are fun!!! :thumbsup2
Lots of elevators. But I find with all the food I eat that it's better to run up and down the stairs. Seems to make me feel a little better when I'm headed for the second desert! :rotfl2:

:sad2: Crazy ATHLETES!!!! I fully intend to gain 20 pounds on this cruise!!!

How much exploring have any of you seasoned DCL cruisers done on Castaway Cay? Is there any cool wildlife we can look for...any waterfalls to hunt for? Is it pretty flat...is it small enough that you dont have to worry about getting lost and not making it back to the boat on time? Is it very "jungle-y"...or is it ALL disneyed up?

It's pretty Disneyed-up. There is some "hiking" you can do - but it's pretty flat. We usually spend the day over on the Adult side of the beach. The family side is very loud and busy. Looks like fun for those with kids with them -- but we prefer to lay in a hammock with a drink and a book. :)

Disneyed-up isnt a BAD thing....I was HOPING to possibly see a waterfall though...there isnt one that you know of in Nassau, is there...it looks pretty flat too. Ive never....in my life, seen something that looks like this....

and I want to stand under a fall like that before I kick the bucket!!!!! Im gonna HAVE to plan a camping trip to the mountains soon!!!

:rotfl2: Okay, the words athlete and Allison never go in the same sentence. :rotfl2: That made me spit my coffee out. :lmao:

Okay, here's the deal. You get off the boat. Take the tram (or walk) all the way to the far end of the family beach. Park your behind in the hammock the entire day. Watch the kiddos swim in the water. Drink your umbrella drink that they've brought to you, while you're laying in your hammock. Stay there all day until it's time to drag your drunk butt back to the ship!! And that is how we do CC!! :thumbsup2

Ya know....that DOES have a ring of comfort to it!!! Especially the "drag your drunk butt back to the ship" part!!!!! :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Somebody mentioned previously about a "cache" being on the island. That might be kind of neat to find the "cache" on Castaway Island. Now if I can remember how to use my thingamajigger...heck, if I can remember where I put it would be even better.:thumbsup2 We should start our own "cache" on the island.

Now THIS is MY kind of great outdoors!!! :thumbsup2:lmao:

Well, I am deeply depressed. Disney Cruise Lines asked for my Passport number and expiration date so I pulled out my passport. Unfortunately, I still had my old and original passport from 1989 also. I knew I should not have looked at the picture. Every cell in my brain said DON'T DO IT! Did I listen? Man, what 15 years does to you. I don't think I am going on this cruise. I am not sure I will be on this earth tomorrow let alone in 2011. It was nice knowing you all.:rolleyes1
