FORT FIENDS DREAM CRUISE Sept 4th, 2011 (Labor Day Week)

I was thinking about either before or after not sure which one but we would bring the MH and stay at the FT, the only thing is where do we put the MH during the cruise? Can we park the MH at the Port? And if we could how safe do you think it would be?

Fort Wilderness will let you keep the motorhome in the parking lot, while you are on the cruise, at no charge. They'll give you a sticker to put on it.

Then, you could add transfers to your cruise, at a cost of $70 per person, RT.

I'm checking on the cost to park the MH at the terminal -- I'll let you know shortly. :)

If I could keep the MH in the FT. parking lot, then I would drive my car from Tampa and drive that to the port. It would be a lot cheeper than the $70 per to take Disney bus to the port.

So if I get a campsite for the 2 nights before and then from Thurs to Sun after, you all can come to the FT. and party at my site. We will have a week of partying:woohoo:

That's the best idea!! :thumbsup2

Parking a MH at the terminal is $40 per day.

OUCH. I think I will stay with the other idea and drive the car, much better option for us.

Another idea to think about, as we get closer, is maybe carpooling! If there are a lot of us staying at WDW beforehand, and if anyone has vans or SUV's, it would be cheaper to split the parking.

FYI - parking is $80 per car, for the 4-night cruise.

Nothing has to be decided yet -- we still have a long ways to go. :goodvibes

Is anyone doing a 1 or 2 night pre-stay? If so, what resort?

I am debating on whether to do a 1 night pre-stay and let Disney handle the rest vs. driving directly to the port.

I am doing a 6 day prior to the cruise. We are renting Tina's 5th wheel and staying at the Fort. :yay:

I was thinking.... this cruise leaves port on Sunday and returns on Thursday early in the morning. If I stay a couple of days AFTER the cruise, I would have most of the day Thursday, all day Friday and Saturday and leave on Sunday. I think that makes the most sense for me with my job. Anyone else want to stay a few days AFTER the cruise?

We would love to go, I have not read the whole thread. That is my task for today:lmao: Did anyone ever find out about a group rate, we have a TA we usualy use so I just need to know who to book through.

Doombuggy, the Fort Fiends are using our most favorite travel agent in the whole WORLD...Rhonda at Dreams Unlimited :thumbsup2. These should answer any questions you have about booking! Join us...the more the merrier!!!! :goodvibes

Yep, go to www.disneycruiseline.com and go through the steps as if you were booking and pick a cabin category that meets your budget, then contact rhonda@dreamsunlimitedtravel.com and tell her that you want to book the Fort Fiends cruise and she will send you a form to fill out, then she makes the booking, then you'll get information on where/how to send the deposit.

Then you are done!!

You'll get information on how much and when to make the final payment and other documents you need.

A passport is a VERY good idea, but not absolutely necessary.

Hi! We'd love to have you join us! :cool1:

Here's the link to get started with a quote: http://www.dreamsunlimitedtravel.com/reservations/disney-cruise-line.cfm. Toward the bottom of the form, you'll see a place to choose your Dreams Unlimited agent -- just pick my name from the list (Rhonda).

The cruise is the 4-night Bahamas cruise on the Disney Dream, on September 4.

Let us know if you have any questions! :)

Just finished reading the whole thing:banana: WOW my eyes burn:rotfl2:. I have my quote request into Rhonda:surfweb:. I can't wait

Regarding Group Rates -- DCL has changed their group rate program, so it's not very good anymore. If we went with group rates, we would lose the great OBCs as well as our other fun perks and surprises that Dreams is going to provide for us.

So, instead, I'm encouraging everyone to book early to get the Early Booking Discount! And, then I'm going to keep watching for other discounts and price drops until the cruise, that I can have applied! :)
