given by Disney at Disney?


I am trying to form a Y.E.S. group for November 7th -13th.

Basically I need 10-20 kids to sign up for a free class given by Disney.
For groups with a minimum of 10 participants, Disney will allow
each child in the group to purchase one child & one companion deeply discounted tickets.
Tickets must be used within 7 days.
Only one class is required.

I know most DVCers would have already booked their stays.
And unless you have APs, your gonna need passes.
This is an amazing offer.
The toughest part will be getting all 10 or 20 of us to agree on wich class.

What are your dates?

Specially-priced Theme Park tickets ..., are valid
7 days prior to arrival until 7 days after group’s main departure date

I will base the arrival/departure dates on the respond of interested participants.
Currently an arrival date of Nov. 3 w/ departure date of Nov. 17 would allow the tickets to be valid from Oct. 29-Nov. 23.

Do the parents attend the class with the kids? DS is in 8th grade and this sounds like a lot of fun. And a reason for me to go back. But I don't think he can go by himself. He will need someone there with him. Thanks!

For each student ticket purchased , a companion ticket may be puchased at the same discounted rate.

Can the companion attend the actual 2 or 3 hour class w/ the student?
It depends on the class. At least one chaperon for every 15 must be present. Max 1 adult per 5 students.

My 2 boys will be in 3rd & 7th. I have read that the classes may bore the upper level grades if it's one w/ a wide range like 3-12. But this Physics Properties of Motion sounded fun.

another question~ are these your travel dates or dates that Disney specifies when the classes are? And where do you find out when which classes are?

Those are our families travel dates. The class date would need to fall within that range.

New class schedule will not officially be out until Aug.

1) Only one class comes free with the group rate. (Additional classes are $26 per student min. 10 students)

2) The group rate tickets are valid 7 days prior to arrival until 7 days after group’s main departure date..

It is my understanding the the arrival dates & departure dates are whatever I put on the registration (which must be completed at least 6 weeks prior), so there is some wiggle room.

I would think something like
arriving Nov. 3
departing Nov. 17
class on Nov. 10 or 12

The longest YES pass they sell is 8 days.
The days do not have to consecutive, but must be used w/in 14 days of activation. A premium ticket will also have 8 water parks or Quest days.:
