Former PI applicants...questions for you!

I have my first interview on Friday. Will the interviewer let me know if she is forwarding my resume on or do I have to wait to hear? Will she be interviewing relative to the PIs I've applied for (generally, not specifically) or is it just a more "are you our kind of person" interview?

Its a basic interview, getting to know you a bit more. After the first interview, if they think you are a good fit they will pass on your application to the hiring departments for the PI's that you applied for.

I understand that, I was just wondering if the interviewer lets you know at that point if the resumes would be forwarded or not or if the waiting game begins.

Yes they do let you know that your application is being forwarded. Last Fall when I applied I didn't get a call till after the PI's had ended so I'm wondering if we will have a long while to wait to be contacted or not.
