Loving it! Loving it! Great job guys!

I'm searching for fabrics online, just seeing what's out there. I'm getting a little hungry so I decide to make myself a salad.
Our boarder Bill brought home some organic salad mix he got at a food bank, because God forbid he actually spend money for groceries, right? Anyway, it's been in the fridge a week. I open the first bag, smells bad. Not to mention it's rotted the non-organic celery sitting next to it, the celery that was meant for pot roast. Crap.
So I threw them both away and grabbed the second bag. It, too, is organic and I open it. I grudingly poured some raddichio or whatever this crap is into a bowl and threw the rest away. I put plenty of chopped tomato, onion, and ranch in to cover the taste/smell.

Who pays twice as much for food that's been prechewed by bugs and smells like it was grown in someone's teenage son's laundry hamper? :lmao:

Something not right. Page 7-took awhile to find.
Just wanted to let you know that two of my sons will be home at the end of the month for visits. One is on his mid tour from Afghanstain and is coming home for his son's graduation and the other is on a 4 day before his deployment to Iraq. So it will be nice to have two of them home. My third is still deployed overseas but will be here in July for two months for school.
Keep good thoughts this week. Husband going back to drs this week for some more tests to see why he is not improving like he should. He has gained a little more engergy but not much.
Hope all have a good weekend.
Sandy

You're right, raven. No one's posting. :confused3

I'm glad you get to see two of your sons. :goodvibes Tell them thanks for their service.

First I'm going to fool around with old flannel and get a feel for the machine. Then I'm going to make cloth diapers for DS. And an apron and some personal items for me.

:yay:

Cool! Are you going to make a set of flannel pajamas? I love my flannel PJ pants. They're so comfy.

First off, they give away organic salad mix at the food bank? WTH? I can barely afford organic salad. :confused3 As for the rest of that story.... EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW! I don't like salad anyway. But I do love ranch! YUM!

Have fun with them. Do you have anything fun planned? Thinking good thoughts for your husband. What's wrong with him?

I've been so busy dealing with other stuff. I got more test results back. It's not looking good. I don't think we got it all. I have an oogie feeling there's more tumor somewhere that we don't know about. So I've kind of been down in the dumps about that.

My mom is keeping me busy going to nurseries to look at plants.

I'm busy planning my horse's 25th birthday party. We're going to have a big old barn party with cake and stuff. All the kids that ride her are going to come. I think I need to come up with some party games, maybe pin the tail on the horse or something? Not sure. But it's either going to be this coming weekend or the one after. Her birthday is on the 11th. :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

No, no flannel pj's. I made myself a pink and blue apron with a Mickey head silhouette on it.

I guess they happened to have some. It was disgusting.

You're going to pin a tail on your horse?! Shame on you! I suppose her birthday ends with a surprise tour of a glue factory? :snooty:

Just kidding. I'm sure you'd never do that.

Hm. So you think there's another tumor somewhere? Do you have an idea of where?

Cool!!!!!!! You got pics? I wanna see!

Most of the stuff the organic people eat is disgusting! I'm planning on preserving myself through better food chemistry. :lmao:

Ha ha ha, now that's funny! No, I'm not going to pin the tail on her. She has one already. I was thinking more like putting up a picture of her and having the kids pin the tail on it.

As for the glue factory, I expect to get another 5+ years out of her, so no, no glue factory yet.

I did see a rendering plant on Dirty Jobs the other day. It was interesting.

Just kidding. I'm sure you'd never do that.

Nope, she's one of my best friends.

Hm. So you think there's another tumor somewhere? Do you have an idea of where?

Well, really the options are:

1. Tumor we missed in the pituitary gland
2. Tumor throughout pituitary gland (which we wouldn't know 'cause we didn't slice into it, but is possible because of the weird stuff on the right side of the gland that they took out)
3. Tumor on the adrenal glands
4. Other tumor (i.e. on the lungs, etc)

So unless things change drastically, and I mean drastically, we're going on another tumor hunt. Where's Sherlock Holmes when you need him? :magnify: :confused3

God bless your family.:grouphug:

Honu, keeping you in my thoughts and prayers as well.

I'M BACK!!!!

and had a fabulous time....thanks mostly to my wonderful hostess with the mostess [?] - our own delightful Soarin'...

learned something about myself - when left to my own devices, I am quite the commando park goer so right now I'm in a daze - 12 hours a day hopping through the world can do that to someone. I hope to post some of the hundreds of pics I took.

Glad to 'see' everyone again -- honu, I'm praying praying praying praying

Sandy - I'm sorry to hear about your husband but happy that your sons are home for a little while. Has anyone told you lately just what a heroine you are?

:grouphug:

I'll have to take pics later on. DH laughed at it, it's not the prettiest thing. I didn't have a pattern, I just winged it.
