no. She told the kids she would not talk to them about it for 2 days. A cooling off period I guess. My opinion - I think she kept him back in Concert because she needs boys there and strong leaders. She has done this before according to DS. He says he is done and won't be in concert but I am hopeful that he will change his mind by Monday. We'll see, he is feeling pretty burned right now. She may have judged him wrong. I know she wants him to be a lead in next years Musical ( he was this year too). I think she thought he would take this better or at least differently. He is not taking it well at all. This is when it is so hard to be a parent. I really want to fix it for him but I can't.
it is hard to parent especially when you can't fix it. I would encourage him to sit down with the teacher to help him understand her decision in a way not to have her change her mind but for him to understand the reasoning behind it. Maybe not being in this will open a door for him in other areas too.
Perhaps something outside of school like voice lessons or community musicals with his buddies would help. I dunno, the worst part is being the only one in his group of friends not picked and that's so hard at his age.

29 is not a year to be sad about!!!
