Of course it is...as soon as I rent a movie from Netflix, it always shows up on t.v. that week! :rotfl2:

I think there is a Restoration Hardware outlet by you. Have you ever gone there? I like their case goods, including bookcases/office-type furniture.

i like restoration hardware a lot. they are closer to where i work than where i live, but they have a warehouse about 30 miles from here, and they have warehouse sales about twice per year. i have missed them all.

i think with 9' ceilings i may order some unfinished bookcases with glass doors on the bottom...that should do the trick.

great movie! and only this version is great...the remake was unnecessary. interesting history about the movie too.

Hi everyone! It's me! I've officially been discharged from the hospital and I'm in the hotel next door until Wednesday. I'm doing pretty well. I got up and walked to the gift shop twice yesterday. I've been eating like a horse. I have a drip coming from my nose, but they don't think it's the bad kind of leak. They think it's just the lining of my nose being a poop head, but they are going to watch it for the next few days. I look like Charlie Chaplin with a gauze mustache... :lmao::rotfl::rotfl2:

To everyone who took the time to send cards, gifts and everything...

THANK YOU!!!!!!!

It was very much appreciated. I was having a bit of a rough day yesterday before it arrived and it really cheered me up. Y'all are a great bunch. I just don't have the words to express how much your support means to me.

And Debbie, thanks for organizing it and for the fantastic blanket! It has really come in handy and I love the fabric. You picked out the perfect one. I slept with it all night.

:grouphug::grouphug::grouphug::grouphug::grouphug:

I'll try to get on later. Nap time again. :rolleyes1 Or maybe a shower...

HONU'S BACK!!!!!!!!

We're so glad to see you - everyone has been wondering how you were doing - Tig and Soarin' were so sweet to keep us posted.

I'm so glad you got your package - some other things should be coming your way soon. What is the address of the hospital hotel just in case someone might need to send you something else? Just PM me if you want and I can pass it along to the usual suspects.

Getting that box together has been the most fun -- opening my mailbox to all the cards and packages was like Christmas every day and I loved seeing all the places listed as return addresses. I'm so so so so glad you're enjoying everything and that my blanket kept you warm last night - kinda like a long distance hug from all your con friends!

Keep keeping us posted ... your great progress has been the answer to many many prayers.

Yay for Charlie Chaplin Honu and wonderful neurosurgeons! :grouphug:

I saw some surreptitious pictures from the warehouse sale in VA and it looked wonderful. I bought some dining room chairs earlier and I was happy I could not read the tags because I know it would have made me sick. I thought they had the sale almost every month. I have gotten the notices before (they really like me ;)), I'll forward it, if you like. The next time I go to FL I want to go through Atlanta so I can go to the outlet north of there. I had a drape lose a fight to Whitley when she was a little puppy and I need to replace it (but refuse to pay retail the second time).

If you have 9' ceilings I think the glass doored ones would be great.

Tiggerfan, thank you for the updates, and Honu, I'm so glad you are doing well. Keep on with your amazing attitude and heal fast.

Honu, I hope you realize how admired you are, and what an inspiration your amazing attitude has been to others. :flower3:

I love Frank, that is when he was younger. On the Town is the best! Plus I love his music.:thumbsup2

bummer about your drapes. as my mother always said about the little fur friends, "we love them so we make allowances".

i'd love to know when you get a sale message. i can see them from the freeway, and that's the only way i ever know, but they're closed when i'm driving home, so...

bookcases...the closest i can get to 9', then i'll have my friend bolt them to the wall (we do that here in earthquake country) and add trim to the top so they meet the ceiling. gives a little bit of a built-in look.
