Former Lasagne Lovers Meet Here!!!

Glad to see I found my lasagna friends! There's no way I'll ever catch up.

DH is working, DS is sleeping, I'm still up. I should be in bed, though; we have church in the morning.

Is anyone else going to be at DLR at end of May, beginning of June? We're taking a trip to Anaheim then for our denomination's convention and we're going to hit Disney while we're there. :thumbsup2

I have no idea what you're talking about, blest.
Even though my lights and appliances were on all night, I didn't watch the news. :rolleyes1

Actual ash, Tink. Mt. Redoubt (volcano) just keeps erupting. We've dodged the ash up until tonight...tonight, it's falling on our cars. :sad1:

Honu>> I'm so glad to hear you're on the quick road to recovery!! My thoughts and prayeres have been with you!

Keep getting well!!

"The ash is falling...the ash is falling!"

Blestmom, how did it go last night? Did you get a lot of ash? I agree with T&G about wearing a mask if it's still falling and you have to go outside. Did the media or the authorities provide any info on how to deal with the ash? I would be entirely clueless. I've never had to deal with anything except hurricanes and blizzards around here. Stay safe!

Just went outside this morning to see how much ash we got. It wasn't much, I'm sure what they would call a 'trace' amount. It isn't like we're getting heaps and heaps of it. It was quite gray out. It was snowing last night and the ash was mixed in with it. It's kind of weird...it looks like 'dust' on the car, but if you feel it, it is very gritty, even harder than sand.

Anyway, it's not a big deal, just kind of interesting. The airport had to shut down though because it's bad for the airplanes.

Blestmom, that is so eerie sounding. Hopefully, it is just hiccuping a bit and will be over soon.

HONU! I just love seeing your posts and knowing you are okay. Keep checking in, when you can.:goodvibes

That's good to hear about the amount of ash that fell.

BTW, I've been reading your TR. You have some great pics there. I think you could easily handle a DSLR. I got one last year for our trip to Denali. I love the pictures I take with it but I do hate having to lug all the "extras" around. There is definitely something to be said about point and shoot cameras. I'm trying to convince myself to get a good one so I don't have to bring the DSLR on every trip. Do you like your Fuji?

On his home planet ALF ate cats.
He never ate one onthe TV show but he made references on several of the shows.

Here is a YouTube Snip where Alf tries to eat the cat

Alf is hysterical!!!

Thanks for kind words. :goodvibes I'm trying to learn more about photography. I would like to upgrade to a DSLR in a while. For now, I'm using a Fuji s6000. I like it, because it's in-between...bigger than a point-and-shoot, but small enough to still put in my purse (a safari bag from Animal Kingdom :thumbsup2) so I have it all times.

I'm so glad I take it with me everywhere...we saw this moose on the way to the grocery store a couple of weeks ago...

I know it would be more convenient to keep a smaller camera in my bag, but I think I would not push myself then to learn more by having the other one (does that make sense?)

I lived in AK from Sep '99 to Feb 2000. I saw moose and couldn't believe how big they were!

I always wondered why Alf ate cats on Melmac.

i haven't a clue how much it costs, but you can go on a yacht tour...i think you can book it at the GR. my friend did this for a birthday celebration and they loved it.
Thanks for the tip!

If you call Disney florist, you can ask for Peggy. She is FeralPeg on the DIS and a very sweet woman. She might be able to make a Disney Florist basket with the Cinderella movie, a chocolate slipper, a music box that plays "Once Upon a Dream" or a combination of the 3. She's very clever and used to own her own company where she made special baskets.
Thanks, I really appreciate the name and tip. I don't have much luck getting straight anwers from people at Disney (check over on the Restaurants board in the Cake thread for the never ending odyssey that is ordering a cake for my birthday :rotfl: ), so having a specific person to ask for is much appreciated.

I feel the same way, my daughter just loved them too along with the Spice Girls. BSB were good together. She's 23 and married and left all that stuff with me. But those are good memories.
I'm a tad older and still have a bunch of BSB stuff in the house, haha. It's all stored away though, except the CDs.

this is so kewl...i have an "alice" room (formerly the kittys' room), but i haven't gotten it all decorated yet. so i guess right now it's a storage room for my alice stuff...not quite as neat. (man...i really need some bookshelves...)
Sigh. This is the problem I'm dealing with. I need to find a bookcase for the den. Got one from Target, got it home and it just didn't look right. Cut the room off too much. So, we're moving that in the guest room, and resuming our search for the den. We need some kind of open shelves (i.e. with no back to them). I hope I find another one soon. I've had snowglobes sitting on the floor or still in their boxes for far too long, not to mention my way to large plush collection. I better hope if I ever have kids, they like Disney stuff. :lmao:

Hi everyone! It's me! I've officially been discharged from the hospital and I'm in the hotel next door until Wednesday. I'm doing pretty well. I got up and walked to the gift shop twice yesterday. I've been eating like a horse. I have a drip coming from my nose, but they don't think it's the bad kind of leak. They think it's just the lining of my nose being a poop head, but they are going to watch it for the next few days. I look like Charlie Chaplin with a gauze mustache... :lmao::rotfl::rotfl2:

To everyone who took the time to send cards, gifts and everything...

THANK YOU!!!!!!!

It was very much appreciated. I was having a bit of a rough day yesterday before it arrived and it really cheered me up. Y'all are a great bunch. I just don't have the words to express how much your support means to me.

And Debbie, thanks for organizing it and for the fantastic blanket! It has really come in handy and I love the fabric. You picked out the perfect one. I slept with it all night.

:grouphug::grouphug::grouphug::grouphug::grouphug:

I'll try to get on later. Nap time again. :rolleyes1 Or maybe a shower...

HONU! How great to see you! I'm so glad you're doing well. I'm still praying for you. :wizard:

ALF ATE KITTENS?!?!?!? :scared1::scared1::scared1:

I had never known that -- and I guess I wouldn't have, since I have never watched the show...guess that makes me a Mork girl, nanu nanu everyone.
I loved ALF! He was always after the family cat. :rotfl2: I hate cats, so I thought it was funny (now, if he'd actually eaten a cat, I wouldn't have found that funny, but, ya know... ;) ). I loved that show growing up. I have the first two seasons on DVD, actually. Loved Mork too. :goodvibes

Hi guys!!!..... Bye guys!!! :rotfl:

Sorry.... I have to go to bed. Work in the morning. I saw Honu on the thread again though!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hiya hiya. OT, but your avatar is just plain sad. What the heck is wrong with Disney for letting that sign get so bad? Ugh. :headache: :sad2:
