Wow that is everything that I want to see down there but haven't made it yet. Have always wanted to go to San Antonio and see the Riverwalk and The Alamo. Plus throw in Sea World and NASA....just wow!

Thanks! Yeah, it has been a "Wow" experience. I'm loving Texas. It's an amazing state. The people are amazing too. I can't count the number of random conversations I've had with people. The people next to me at Rudy's BBQ shared their brisket with me. OMG, if there's a Rudy's anywhere near anyone in Texas, GO! It's sooooooo good!!!!!!!!!!!

There's a lot more reasons I love it than just those, but I can't share them for fear of violating the new rules.

Probably! It's amazing how little of your own state most people see... I know some tourists that have seen more of Washington state than I have...

just a little curious - is it that you have a passion for astronaut-ing or just astronauts in general, being that some of them can be rather hunky in their uniforms...

Both!!!!! I actually did want to fly in space, but I could never get all the math needed to do it. I hope I get to meet one at lunch.

how are you feeling about the upcoming surgery?

I'm excited. A little nervous. But excited. I hope it goes OK. Our hotel is attached to the hospital so it's kind of different than a normal hotel. It feels like a hotel, but you can definitely tell it's at a hospital. There's a shower chair in the bathroom along with a sharps container. They really try to keep you busy and not thinking about all the crap you're going through. I hope I can sneak out of my room long enough on Thursday to make it to BINGO. I'm a BINGO addict.

Hope you have a great time. I'm jealous as I haven't been in years, and I only live about fifteen minutes away. How was the drive from San Antonio? I was in College Station this weekend and the wildflowers between there and Houston were incredible. I love driving out in the country at this time of year

The drive from San Antonio was really cool. I loved all the wildflowers. The blue bells were amazing. It only took about 100 miles for me to FINALLY see a Texas Longhorn. I wanted to see one of those too. The real ones, not the ones in the orange t-shirts.

It was a gorgeous day!! Warm and lots of sunshine. We had a cookout at the barn. Rode horses, listened to some good music.... had a "few" wine coolers.
All and all....it was a good day.

Nah dont want to think about color...just spent forever trying to get the exact right color yellow to pain to my house....ended up with a hunter greed for the front door and some trim...white for all the rest of the trim and a pretty yellow. It looks great!

So is there any where we can all talk politics(can I say that word ?) together...does anyone know any other boards for this? If so PM me. It would have been nice if they said keep it in your own threads and make no others. Wow I really enjoyed all the info that we got from each other. Even from the OS.

They should have given us a warning that unless this is confined to the lib and cons thread they will be closed also. I have no one to complain with about it anymore

It's here on the CB. Pi Beta Alpha- Hand over the purple and no one gets hurt. Come over and join us on there. You just have to enjoy cake, purple, and hot guys! We have a maid (NO it's not me!) and a butler and a chef. It's all very fancy. We have a big purple house too.
