Former Lasagne Lovers Meet Here!!!

 Stupid So You Think You Can Dance. Bad decision.

And who the heck was that girl who was singing??? She was obviously lip syncing...she was terrible!!

I was disappointed in the bottom 3. Grrrrrrrr. But as soon as I saw Ashley's routine, I knew she was gone. Not enough substance... I guess Kupono will be paired up with Kayla now? That should be interesting. I think they actually might make a really good team.

Ugh, the girl who sang was HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!! OK, I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought she was lip-syncing. I hate when new performers rework old classic songs and say there a new hit single. Nah, nah, nah, nah, hey, hey, hey, goodbye is classic. Don't mess with it and if you're going to, at least do it well!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Max was OK for me. I love Kayla, I think she's really good. I guess my favorite guy is probably Jason or Ade. I wasn't surprised Jason was in the bottom 3 yesterday. Hopefully next week the dances will be better. Here's to hoping Mia sits on the sidelines for another week... :thumbsup2

I'm lost. I don't watch whatever show it is that you're discussing.
I almost wrote disgusting. LOL

We're talking about So you think you can dance. It's very interesting.

What's going on in your neck of the woods today? Is it raining up there? It keeps threatening down here. It poured last night. Of course right when I had to take the dogs outside... :headache:

I don't really watch mainstream tv so that's probably why I'm out of the loop.
Yeah, it rained last night, and it was misting this morning. Right now, though, it's mostly sunny. As for me, I'm working on DH's birthday present. I handsewed a necktie made of polyester silk and am silk-screening our denomination's logo on it. :thumbsup2

We'll give you a pass then. I'll let you out of the mainstream loop. I probably shouldn't watch so much TV...

It's pouring buckets right now here. Ugh. It's so nasty out. I hope it's not this way next week when we're at the beach.

That's a cool birthday present!!!!!!!!! What colors are you making it?

Toll House cookies anyone? Or is Pilsbury better?

:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

:thumbsup2 Pilsbury, of course! But not the sugar cookie dough, unless you want a really clean palate.

Guess that means I should eat the sugar cookie dough in between bites of the other kinds... :lmao: I love a clean palate. :thumbsup2

I almost bought some Pillsbury at the grocery store today. :thumbsup2

The colors are candy apple red, medium yellow, navy blue, peacock blue and white.

I had no idea there was a color called medium yellow. Learn something new every day. Nice colors though. I like it. Are you doing a pattern on it?

And Lil C...:rotfl: My bf started "dinging" everytime he used a "big" word. It's like he talks and inserts some words just to prove that he's educated. I don't get him. And I loved when he was critiquing the Tango couple (Philip?) and said how he shouldn't have bent his knees the whole time and Mary was like, ummm yeah, he should have. :worship: Oooooo, BURN! :rotfl:
i'll say it...the guy's an idiot. he isn't classically trained, can't dance his way out of a paper bag, and obviously hasn't been near a dictionary in his entire life. he's not smart, doesn't have an opinion on anything unless somebody else has voiced their opinion first, then his opinion happens to be the same. there's a lot of noise and sound coming out of his mouth, and he's not saying anything.

Did you hear what they said to Brandon? Told him good luck 'cause Mia is doing the group routine tonight. That should be interesting. Though I did appreciate Lil C saying that he was wrong about Brandon. It's not easy to admit when you're in the wrong.
i don't care for mia's overly dramatic and convulsive choreography, but i'll give her credit for thursday's opening number. beyond that, she picks somebody everybody year, calls them "needy dancers", sneers at them when they're performing, and she holds a grudge. i don't liker her.

i'm not sorry to hijack. :teeth:

He reminds me of a couple other people I see on TV a lot. Lots of sounds and noise coming out, but doesn't really say anything. :confused3 I didn't even know who Lil C was before this, I think he's a rapper? Not sure. Rappers can never dance, even though they think they're gods gift to hip hop. I loved when they played clips of him talking as they panned the audience for reactions. Priceless!

Thursday's routine was one that I liked more than usual, but it was still dark and gloomy. I just don't like her. With Sonja, I may not understand her dances all the time, I like her because she's got passion and she encourages her dancers, not tears them down.

Sorry Tink. Didn't mean to go off on So You Think You Can Dance :rotfl:

Can I have cookies???

Cookies for all!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'll bake the sugar cookies though. The cocolate chips, you get the dough, if there's any left after I get finished. :stir:

That's cool. I'm impressed. :thumbsup2

Anyone got any fun weekend plans?
What are these 'fun weekend plans' of which you speak? I'm afraid I don't know what they are.
No. I was going to meet up with a friend of mine whose daughter is 6 weeks younger than Robbie but circumstances just keep getting in the way.
Maybe we'll have to do it next week.

ha - y'all are my fun weekend plans...how sad is that!

I am going camping next weekend for four days - in a tent and everything! So I'm trying to get stuff together for that - pull out my camping gear, wash out plastic stuff to use again this year....right now the forecast is rain...ugh/typical - it's a big joke with our camping group [we go annually] that natural and manmade disasters wait until we're in our tents to show up at our campsite -- we've had almost everything happen to us -- torrential rain, floods, broken bones, near drownings [that happened to me!] -- yet for some reason, we keep going. Can't wait to experience what awaits us this year. :scared:

I'm trying to come up with a menu - what goes well with hot dogs that's not potato chips or beans? I've thought about roasting veggies beforehand, put them in foil pouches, stick them in the campfire to warm up. I can also do that with ears of corn...hmmm....any other suggestions? Trying to do something not so junk food-y [to complement my hot dogs] but also easy. Cooking on a campfire takes FOREVER!

Bacon. Bacon goes with everything. popcorn::
How about pickle spears?

:flower3: I wanted to say thank you for your prayers after our wreck. Brian and I did finally make it to WDW. The girls (Ash & friend) had been brought down by our friends that were coming also. We are so very thankful that I will eventually recover. While I am still struggling, we all realize it could have been so much worse. Ash needed up with cuts on her forehead and bruising. Her friend has bruising from the seat belt. Brian got a nasty bump and a cut on his head where we hit heads, even though we both had seatbelts on. I am able to walk short distances, but am using a wheelchair when we go to the parks. I've been able to go to them for 3-4 hours each day since Thursday. We kept the rental car we got in Macon so I did not have to be on the buses. I have a lovely C-Collar to accessorize my outfits. I am hanging around Kidani Village most of the time, but it is beautiful.

I have a question on tipping the mouse keeper. We finally made it here late Wed. She asked her manager if she could come in every day and help since I can't even dress myself much less clean. The manager agreed so she is coming and straightening and replacing our shampoos, soaps, etc. Also, she made me several towel animals after I thanked her for the butterfly. I had never even seen towel animals before. Do you guys mind telling me what a good tip would be for doing all of this?

Thanks again. I need to take a break now since even typing is kind of difficult and slow.
