There's no way to gauge it on any given night.
Figure up to 2 hours.
That's how it was when it was a FP area.

And, remember that these areas are not a good place from which to watch the parade.

Right. We have one night in MK and after researching a bit, it seems there are few (if any) places to adequately see both. I figured if we had to choose, we'd opt for CtM and Wishes.

There are lots of places to see all three very well.
But, they will all be crowed (some more than others, some less than others.)
Disney has created a difficult situation.
Guests would be advised to arrive early.

My first suggestion would be the Hub-end of the bridge to Tomorrowland.

very early.. there is usually an electric parade about an hour before wishes so people tend to go from their parade spot to their wishes spot rather quick.

Yes, I think the last ones were some time in April but not 100%.

As with all WDW events where a huge number of people are crammed into a small space, "gird your loins" is sound advice.

Can you get the desert party reservations the same day? I thought it's usually sold out.

I was wondering this too. We have an ADR for the regular party but I am losing interest in keeping it since they don't have pre-assigned tables anymore. But same day could work (could check the weather first too)

Yes as far as I know they start selling them at 10:00 or 10:30 AM for same day and the old FP area on the East side is reserved for same day reservations.
