Formal wear for ladies?

How formal do u ladies get? Are we talking formal gowns? DH and I love to dress up, but just curious how formal is formal?

Take a look at the link above and you will see how my beautiful ladies looked on formal night. They all seemed to enjoy getting dressed up. DW found some great deals on ebay for their dresses, she paid around $200 for all 3 of them, and they all looked like princesses. There were also ladies there just wearing pantsuits or casual dresses and there were others that dressed up even more than my crew. It's your vacation. Have it your way.

We wore formals both nights. I think it is person preferance. We love to dress up and therefore we do. My brother is dating a girl who will not go on our next cruise becasue she will have to dress for dinner. If she cant wear jeans and a tshirt she is not interested.

There were ladies dressed in expensive evening gowns and others dressed in pant suits or nicer dresses. It really depends on how comfortable you feel.

DD and I wore glittery tops and jersey evening pants and felt appropriately dressed. My 80 something Mom and Aunt wore nice "Sunday" dresses. DH wore shirt and tie with slacks and a blazer. There were many in tuxes and gowns but I didn't want to pack that much and no way was I gonna get DH in a tux.
