Although our "official" 10th anniversary is in November we are taking the Wonder for 7 day Western December 6th to celebrate this AWESOME journey we have been on.

We (I) have been planning like a crazy person  I want it to be perfect without having to be to planned!

My big night and the one I post on the DIS most about is Formal Night! With DH in his tux me in a gown I was wondering other than dinner what events take place on the ship?

Is there any formal dancing? Where can we make the most Magic ;) while we are still decked out in our fancy DUDS? :)
We are not fancy people but a nice romantic piano session or dancing (despite our 2 left feet) with others who are enjoying their fancy clothes also.

Will I feel compelled to change or do most people stay in their formal wear?

I have actually considered renewing our vows but the cost was just more than I wanted to spend I would rather have 10 spa sessions!

Thanks.

We are on the Magic right now and last night was our formal night. We saw everything from tuxes and formal dresses to shorts (although I don't think those people actually went to dinner like that but you never know - they were in shorts in the show and had plenty of time to go change after the show and before dinner). Last night there was a piano player in Sessions which is a small nice and quiet night club; a comedian/singer (he was AWESOME and HILARIOUS) in Rockin' Bar D; Dueling Pianos in another place for families and then adult entertainment after that; Family Dance party in Studio Sea which is mainly a family area. The other above ones are mostly adult entertainment clubs. There isn't "formal" dancing but there are various places that you can go to.

I changed my clothes because I was hot but most people stayed in their formal clothes until they ended the evening. It is mainly however people are with comfort level (my feet were also killing me so I needed to get out of my shoes).

Hope you have an AWESOME TIME!

There are also lots of photographers taking portraits in front of various backdrops in the lobby on formal night.

Hi mitcam.

Any activity you attend will be "formal." It doesn't matter what other cruisers might/might not be wearing. You have formalwear. You have a spouse/sig. other. Get dressed and show each other off. Why not? You have an entire cruise ship. Enjoy it...

A vow renewal doesn't have to be a formal event. Treat yourselves to a couples massage and arrange for a Diser you like, a CM you meet or family member to conduct a brief ceremony at the start of your massage. Inotherwords - save money/think creatively...
