formal night on 3 day cruise

Is there a formal night on the 3 day cruise, I really wanted to get my son and DH in tuxes when we were doing the 7 day, but now that we switched, would they be the minority in a tux??

Yes, they will be in the minority. The 3 day was very informal in my opinion. However, lots of families, individually, dress up together. As long as your group dresses similarly, you shouldn't really feel out of place.
